Falcons draft possibilities

If the Falcons go WR/DT/CB they have several good options. Depending on what order they go in. I would imagine they would go WR/DT or DT/WR first.
So with the 48th pick WRs that should be available would be Branch and Brazzell and DT would be Miller and Hunter. At pick 79 you would likely have one of these wrs left Hurst, Sarrett, Lane, Benson, Fields or Burks.. DT you would have Halton, Orange Jackson Jr and Proctor. I think my favorite scenario would be Branch and Jackson Jr, although I wouldn't mind Miller/ Hunter and Sarrett/ Lane either. Hurst is also an interesting option at WR out of Ga St. Its actually nice to have several really good prospects in those positions. Most mock drafts would also have Daylen Everette still available at the 3rd pick. So I would prefer Branch/ Jackson Jr/ Everette. They could also maybe get a sleeper wr/dt with their 6th round pick. I have seen a few mocks that have Harrison Wallace available there or Tim Keenan. Maybe even take a qb late like Taylen Green or Haynes King.

Best case scenario is the rumored trade scenario for Pitts. Patriots send K. Boutte and their 2nd and 3rd. Gives the Falcons many more day 2 options and takes WR2 off immediate needs list. Also, they could draft a TE who can block and sign Stefanski favorite David Njoku.

If somehow we could swing Boutte, Njoku, a 2nd and a 3rd and only lose Pitts that would be amazing. I still think it's possible for Dotson to be salvaged too but I wouldn't bet the house on it. I like Njoku a lot.

Ran a mock draft simulator with those picks and got
WR- Chris Bell
DT- Darrell Jackson Jr
TE- Eli Stowers
CB- Malik Muhammad
WR- Chris Bell
DT- Darrell Jackson Jr
TE- Eli Stowers
CB- Malik Muhammad

I would be stunned if the Falcons got anything close to this for Pitts.
My best guess in the 2nd round is whoever is the highest player on their board at DT, OT, or CB, unless CJ Allen somehow falls that far. The defense fell off a mountain after Deablo got hurt last year and they need more good LBs. Deablo is only under contract for one more season anyways.

They wont take a LB after signing Azeez Ojulari, Channing Tindall and Christian Harris. WR and DT are definitely the biggest need. I really liked a lot of the moves they made in FA and they made sense unlike in years past when moves and draft picks made no sense at all.

Miller is gone so either Branch or Hall here.

Thought they would go wr/dt first. Terrell cb. Dont hate it. I think they need to go wr next.

Yea the more I look at it the more I like it. He will come in and be the nickel right away. Creates a lot of turnovers, has great speed and just shuts down slot receivers.

At least this will shut the leghumpers up.

Nope. We want more DAWGS on the roster.

I think they need Jackson with the next pick.
They need another NT to just handle the run, clog up the middle and take up blockers. This is what his scouting report says.
Jackson was the anchor of of Florida State's defensive line even if his production did not directly show up on the stat sheet. An imposing player with his size, he displays the strength to walk blockers back into the pocket. However, Jackson could still work on the use of his hands when disengaging from blocks and develop better pass-rush moves. He relies on the peak-and-shed technique a lot. Jackson is at his best when lined up at nose tackle, holding the point and clogging up the middle.

I hate to say it but I want Jackson Jr next and then they dont have a ick till the 6th and 7th round. I wouldn't mind another qb and that qb maybe Haynes King.

I like Jackson too and believe he would be a good fit. if they stick to the players they’ve hosted for top 30, it very well could be Kaleb Proctor from Southeastern Louisiana or Gracen Haltom from OU. The only DT/NT prospects they hosted for top 30 visits were Caleb Banks, Christen Miller (all drafted already), Gracen Haltin, and Kaleb Proctor.

I like Proctor a lot I just dont think he fits the NT run stuffing position. I think in a 3-4 he would be an excellent DE. I like him a lot though.

Agreed but so far they’ve only picked players from top 30 visits. That means nothing, just an observation.
