Ownership doesn't determine money spent?

Sigh.....

The frick you talking about? Have you not seen what happened the last 4 years? Operation rebuild has been very successful this far. You're really letting the last 3 weeks get ti your head. We played some very tough ball clubs, yet we're still very much in it. We need some help and it'll be interesting to see what happens before the end of the month. If we don't make some sort of move in July then yeah I'll carry some of your depressing sentiments since we do have a shot, but this project has taken years to build and we're seeing fruits of the labor.

I didn't realize Folty was the same size as Freddie.

You can tell from the Freddie hugs (also that's when Moylan gets jealous):

The fact that you think money is the only factor that will be considered in a potential deal is all I need to know about your intelligence when it comes to the game of baseball.

Freddie lost 13 to 12 in the first round to the overrated home favored what's his name. Hope Freddie kills the guy in MVP voting.

Quite being a douche, I never said that.

Obviously, if an organization plans on being buyers at the trade deadline you generally give low cost players in order to get a more expensive rental. I know you understand a little bit about math, so that would then increase your total payroll from that point forward.

*If the organization approves the increased expenditure.

AA said the Braves aren't interested in a rental. TIFWIW.

That's precisely what you said, and you continue to miss the point. Not terribly surprising

Anyone else watching the Braves in the ASG? Nick and Freddie haven't been able to get a hit so far and Ozzie still isn't in yet. But Folty had a great inning. A strikeout and had a walk (probably a good idea against that Judge guy who took Scherzer deep in his last at bat)... but Folty didn't give up a single run.

Strikeout and two lazy popups. Folty looked good

Going into this ASG, I had a bad feeling that Folty would blow up in his one inning. I was very much pleasantly surprised with his outing and nice to see him outperform his NL east counterparts. And it's not like he lucked out and faced some relatively weak portion of the lineup. That was a pretty stout trio of Ramirez, Judge, and Machado. Abreu is kind of a joke to be a starter in the AL. Crazy to think that a 1B starter in the AL would have a .750 OPS and only 13 HRs.

Every time I see one of these dynamic bullpen arms from a shitty team tonight, I see trade targets

Vazquez looks like he would be a good addition.
