Culberson just hit a ball that was about to hit in in the stomach like a ninja. Then he got a double and drove in 2 runs. 6 nothing and only the 5th inning. Newk is still in charge too bad night to be a Padre.

Swanson drove in runs 7 and 8 with a homer right after Culberson's at bat.

Hosmer needs to wear one after the multiple down and in pitches to Ozzie culminating in him getting hit in the foot

I just hope they don't put Jackson in to pitch relief tonight. Or any night unless we have a 15 run lead, not 8 or 9 they obviously aren't safe based on semi-recent history.

Newk is coming out after 6 innings with 4 strikeouts and a shutout brewing. Just hope the bullpen doesn't blow it.

If Culberson's bat still hasn't cooled off by the time Acuna comes back, I wonder if the coach will be tempted to leave Culberson in the outfield and send Ender to the bench?

I doubt it because Ender's glove is so valuable.

13 run lead might be safe here. They took Freddie out for a little 3 inning rest, but left Swanson in for insurance I guess.

Jackson's pitches are way out of the strike zone at times, but it doesn't always stop the Padres from swinging at them.

The Padres closer is trying to make Jackson look much better, but I guess he's ok for a 2nd baseman.
