It's a comfortable feeling watching the bullpen knowing they can't put SF in there tonight. Just keep Moylan out of blowing distance and I like our chances with Carle and Biddle.

Brach is definitely a groundball pitcher. Pitched well, the error by Camargo made that inning a little more uncomfortable than it should have been

That was a great game. Congrats on the win, Braves. Freddie, Ronald and Johan were the heroes with the bats. Julio picked up the win, Minter got the save... and Carle, Biddle and Brach did alright in between.

He'll probably do really well in his first game out there since they will not have seen him yet. Hopefully he can keep it going after they know what's up. And Allard did better in AAA than he did in AA so maybe he will keep improving.

The concerns are with his velocity but he's supposedly a very accurate pitcher with great command of the strike zone.

That was awesome watching Brach. His launch angle combined with his spin gives a whole new look to our bullpen. Man how awesome was it to see our bullpen go in a hold the lead.

Braves traded 3 minor leaguers for Adam Duvall an outfielder. Lucas Sims, Matt Wisler and Preston Tucker.

I don't mind, those guys were pretty good in Gwinnett but it didn't translate except for Tucker's early season.

Wisler and Sims were never going to contribute in Atlanta with the young arms coming up so this is basically a Tucker for Duvall deal that opens two spots on the 40 man roster. I'm fine with that.

Because of Duvall they didn't think they needed Reed anymore and he's on his way back to Gwinnett. Everybody was asking, why do you still need Flaherty with Culberson?

A Braves reliever got sent to the "DL" with a fake injury to make room for the pitching staff for the 2nd time this season... but I'm not complaining... team's in better shape without Moylan and S Freeman I'd say.

Brach held it down for us last night. Hope to see it again. Really hope we can win the division with these added pieces.
Looking ahead we have two more games against the Marlins, then four @NYM, then four @Gnats. A good series against the Gnats and we push them way back in the division since they're already 5.5 games behind. Make it a two horse race between us and the Phils.
