Braves got beat and swept. Guess they're somewhere in the middle of the NL talent wise somewhere between the dodgers and the fish.

Think they'll have better luck tomorrow against the d-backs with Soroka pitching.
Yes

Yep.
I thought the first game was a poor reflection on the team. Gausman wasn't great by any means, but he defense hurt him.
The next two games were just butt frickings. Fried wasn't himself, and Folty from the first pitch was hanging breaking balls up in the zone. I think he caught them off guard in the first inning with only 1 fastball out of 7 or 8 pitches, but he didn't fool them for long.

N00b here. Thought I'd join.
Braves fan since birth. Watching the series against the Dodgers reminded me of the old west coast trips when the Braves wouldn't come on TBS until about 50 episodes of the Andy Griffith show.
I lived in the DC/NOVA area for a while, so I can't stand the Natinals. Don't like the Mets because they're the Mets. Still mad at the Marlins (see signature). Phuck the Phillies but I really like their stadium.
While I like the McCann and Donaldson signings this off season, I was disappointed that the front office didn't do more, especially try to find an upgrade over Markakis in RF.
Bullpen is a dumpster fire right now
Go Bravos

I agree with you about the inactivity, however that Markakis signing looks pretty good right now. In terms of players that the Braves were linked to this offseaons, I think the only realistic upgrade would have been Brantley, but he was hell bent on staying in the American League. Rumors are that the Braves offered more money than the Astros.

After last season, I have doubts that Markakis can sustain a high level of play over the course of a season.
In addition to Brantley, the Braves were supposedly talking to Detroit about Castellanos but that didn't pan out, but I can't fault AA for that because DET may have had some astronomically high asking price like the Marlins had with JTR.

7-12 vs teams above .500 and that includes the cubs sweep earlier this year before they woke up

I really think Riley is going to come up this year and provide another corner outfield option. He's been busting the cover off the ball for Gwinnett

Soroka looks like a fricking giraffe on the mound with that long neck of his

Pitchers did great in the 1st in Arizona and kept it 0-0. Soroka vs Weaver. Hope the Braves can end their losing streak and not take another sweep.
They both gave up extra base hits in the 2nd, and unfortunately for us the d'backs were the only ones that could bring the baserunner home. 1-0 them.

Braves had Acuna on 3rd with one out, after his double, and stranded him with McCann's double play.

1-1 Ozzie hit an RBI double (thrown out at 3rd though) with Ender on base. 3rd inning

Freaking home run stealers. In the 6th still 1-1 pitchers dueling and the right fielder reached over the wall to catch Ronald's. At least his big hit slump is no mas.

Soroka's last inning the 6th? He was handing out walks and hitting people and 100 pitches plus in a close game but got through the inning. Come on offense, he's been pitching too well to no decision.

Yes. Newcomb is going to come in for the 7th. He got through 6 giving up one run without his best stuff. Soroka had a good night

Yep thanks, Newk the reliever is pitching now in the 7th. McCann hit one hard for the Braves but caught at the wall. Long time since they scored now.

Yeah thanks Donaldson, 2-1 depending on the bullpen. Edit... that lead didn't last long.
