Arkansas is 100% a better program historically than Mizzou and Miss St. We're top 20 in all time wins, and top 15 when it comes to revenue. Our coffers, fan support, and facilities also blow theirs out of the water.

We've at least been relevant with a good coach and we're still an important institution in the CFB landscape, just see how much everyone talks about it being a shame when we're down. The Razorbacks have a tradition of being a tough, competitive program that might not challenge for championships often but can play one hell of an underdog and spoiler.

Coaches see a program's long-term potential when evaluating where to go, not just the last few years. They see what the ceiling was for previous successful coaches and have the ego to believe they can replicate that or improve on it.

Long story short, we will make a hire that is much better than Mizzou's. I fully believe it will be considered a home run by the fans and national media, based off what I'm hearing. Basically all 3 viable, realistic options at this point would be home runs - we can't really go wrong.

Campbell for 6 years / $30 million

then

Kiffin for 5 years / $18 million

then

Norvell for 6 years / $27 million

We'll be lauded as landing a big time home run with any of the 3, and one of the three WILL be the man. I'm calling my shot now.

No coach today cares what Lou Holtz and Broyles did here 40-60 years ago. And current recruits didnt grow up seeing Arkansas beat MSU or Missouri. Some of y'all very clearly live in a Hog bubble. Leave the confines of the state and you'll realize nobody respects Ark as some blue blood football school. In fact every state we touch has at least one or several better programs (not just current team) than UArk.

I believe we have a higher upside than Missouri and Mississippi State, but they've dominated us on the field lately. Missouri is 5–1 against us since joining the conference, and MSU is 7–3 against us over this decade.

I'll speak with a degree of modesty when referencing these programs we "own" who are currently beating the brakes off of us literally each and every single year. I don't see them as a threat in poaching any coach we truly want, but we need to make the right hire and get back above these programs that historically fare worse than us, or this decade of losing to them will be extending by another ten years. How have we fricked up so badly that we can't beat either of these teams when they're running with Joe Moorhead and Barry Odom?

Hit the nail on the head. Yes, I agree we should be better than MSU or Mizzou. But time to eat some humble pie and live in the real world, people. They are much better based on results the last decade or more.

It’d be our luck that the two SEC jobs next to us would both open up at the same time.
