Just trying to understand. Everybody sure is quick to lump Bielema and Chad together as horrible and Pittman as saving the program. Bielema was certainly a step above Chad but it also feels like Pittman may be more similar to Bret than we want to believe?

What breaks did we get last year? 2021 was the year with breaks that went mostly our way, outside the Ole Miss game. And that was when we had like upwards of 20 sixth year COVID seniors.
We won seven games last year. We were up on Kansas 38–13 with 3:30 left in the third quarter, and it took triple OT to beat them. That isn't a break.
We lost to LSU 10–13 at home because we went for it on 4th and goal instead of taking the points. We lost to Liberty because their third string QB put up 21 points on us before halftime. All three TDs were passing TDs, and the shortest TD pass was 16 yards. A 50 yard FG as time expired stopped us from being down 21–0 at the half. This was an 8-win G5 team using their backup's backup.
We lost to an A&M team that wasn't even bowl eligible 21–23. They were noted in having no offense.
There were no breaks, only disasters and narrowly avoided disasters.
This team was never, never 9–3 good. I predicted 5–7, maybe 6–6. And that was with me counting BYU as a win.

The original post is from 2022 so “last year” was referencing 2021

Thought this thread was new, but it's just a bump.

Right on, my mistake. Disregard my lack of attention to detail.

Respectable for one year and now we’re back in the cellar.
Also, Liberty.

Well except he doesn’t seem to motivate as well as Nutt did
