I live in Paragould. 20 miles North of J'boro. I've always pulled for stAte as they are NO THREAT to the Hogs. I pretty well pull for any team with "Arkansas" in the name.
However, as stated a few times already. The stAte fans really piss ya off. They think they're really something and we're just pigs. 1 time Sun Belt Champs and look the frick out, they're taking over the world. Even before that though, the Hog envy was THICK!!
Doesn't matter what sport, they're just better than us and would kill us, every. damned. time.
Hard to pull for em too much. If you leave their fans out, it's easy, but living around all 57 of them is a little too much to take.
Even their view on other teams and coaches is screwed up. Very uninformed and blind group of goons.

The stAte fans I've known have always been Hog fans as well. I never felt any ill will toward them at all.
I'd like to see them do well. Competition yields a better product.

How does that threaten anything? That's like saying Jonesboro radio stations shouldn't play Hog games. There are Astate alumni in NWA and they should have a right to support their school as well. Equally, the school should have a right to reach out to them and compete for fans in the state. Just my thoughts, they may change one day.

I know of alot of people who go there and are Hog fans as well. My buddy Tim Starson who I played Jr.High and HS football with is their DE.

I've always passively cheered for them just because they have Arkansas in their name. My friends in NEA say they are the absolute worst though, so I sort of ride the fence.
Pretty dumb for them to be dicks to Hog fans, I know my friends out there would be willing to go to some games and tailgate if the stAte fans acted differently.
