Broke the state record in the 100m today and also won the state title in the 200m.

Hope he's ready to contribute. KFSM is reporting that Hatcher had a second surgery on his foot.

I think he is a definite RS kid this year. Keon will be back. It's just May. Also, we aren't lacking depth at WR.

I know kids want to play right away but sitting them for a RS year is usually the best way to go. Let them learn the playbook and physically mature a bit more before you throw them into the SEC wars.

Fortunately, like you said, we have the luxury of depth at WR so we can do that. I don't expect we will see Jordan on the field this coming season unless he is an absolute prodigy or we have another freakish run of injuries.

I wouldn't say definitely a RS. Bret has mentioned him a couple of times as a possible return guy.

Wasn't that just the class 3A state record? Think he ran a 10.78 IIRC from the paper.

ETA: State record is currently 10.52 by Fred Rose from Texarkana in 2007, although Melvin Lewis from LR Central ran a 10.3 1986. State records can only be set in state meets or meet of champs I believe.

which is a silly rule. I guess it's the only way to have verified legit times though. With the ease of using electronic timing now you'd think they'd change that rule to include any meet with timing equipment that meets certain standards/

10.75

It's a state 3A record. Which is a state record, as my OP says. That's the fastest recorded 100m time in the state this year.

It's also odd that the state does not recognize his semi final run as the state record. It was a 10.73.

He ran 22.65 in the 200m

If his route running wasn't so raw, he would be the 2nd fastest WR as a true freshman, but he'll probably see the shirt unless he can lock up a spot on special teams.
