And this is patently false. Anyone who pays any attention at all knows it too.

I wonder if people think that telling bold faced lies makes their position look stronger than it is? I guess it probably does if the person reading it is a mentally deficient.

It is always that 4 spot.

This is why I'm so big on Gabe Osabaouein. He isn't even close to our best offensive player (even at the 4 spot), but he is an excellent defender and he is the only option we have at the 4 for a fast twitch muscle guy. We have explosive type athletes at every position on the floor except for the 4. Unless Gabe is in the game.

The team is better on defense and transition offense when Gabe is in the game.

Disagree, Gabe still has issues handling the ball in motion. He shows glimpses but isn't consistent enough. I remember him turning the ball over in a fast break because he couldn't handle the speed while he was dribbling. Chaney is our best hope at that position but even he has issues.

Why did people really think this was a good match to begin with?

What a ignorant question

I agree that Chaney is our best offensive player at the 4 spot. I'm not advocating Gabe be the starter at the 4. Just saying that I think our team is better for him being on it. He is a tremendous energy type guy and what he provides on defense more than compensates for his offensive struggles.

He's drawn like 20 charges so far this season. That's incredible.

He gives great energy but he lead the team in turnovers yesterday and only played 14 mins.

One thing I'll continue to say about this team is something Jimmy Dykes talked about at length yesterday. Arkansas's team defensive speed is very good. I was very impressed with how they closed out to the perimeter on defense all day yesterday.

There was one period in the game for about 3 minutes of playing time that they let up their defensive pressure. Tech out hustled them. For like 3 minutes. That was the difference in the game, IMO.

I can't wait to see what this team looks like next season. ARKANSAS will be one of the teams that's at the very top of the heap in defensive standings.

That is something Mike hasn't had since he has been here. Great defense.

THis is what makes your position so tenuous, It is an opinion man, just like yours.

There's no problem criticizing Mike. Just be honest in your criciticisms.

I don't know how much more honest I can be. I love the dude as a man, and enjoyed the times we have been around each other. But, in 8 years he hasn't been as successful as we should have been. Losing players that he needed in recruiting, and never seeming to have the "complete" team. And his coaching is getting very predictable as well. It is frustration with lace of top 25 teams, lace of winning at a high level in the NCAA tourney, etal. That is honesty.

You can't say his system is outdated and doesn't work, because it clearly does.

Not as well as it did prior to the officiating changes, causing officials to pay more attention to hand check fouls. Dude, Cmon!

They're too dumb to know any better.

Crazy stuff man! shows emotion overcoming the ability to debate freely!

Now, where we agree. We looked much better yesterday than I imagined we would. But we still lost. Dang it. It gets old. and this team will be better in coming weeks, however it will be a bit late for the NCAA tourney, and maybe even the NIT. What happens when we lose our big man? This worries me.

Has MA reached his ceiling here? IF he has, lets move on...

Gabe Osabaouein.

Gabe is exactly the kind of recruiting reach/fall back option that MA has consistently had on all his teams here, and the complete embodiment of why people have serious and valid issues with Mike's team building.
