I'll take a team that knows how to manufacturer runs with base hit ground balls, line drives, and bunts over being a tater laden hitting team. Taters can be squelched by certain ball parks and the wind. Ground balls and line drives are way more likely to earn you runs compared to taters.
I'm not saying to not taters, but it should never be your primary goal when at the plate.
