Something to consider is that Musselman has only had these guys a few months. Defensively that isn't that big of a deal because 95% of defense is effort, IMO.

It's on the offensive side of the court that it's gonna take more time to learn the ins and outs of what Musselman wants out of his players. There's a lot more thinking involved on offense. I'm confident their offensive production will continue to go up with each game.

One thing is for certain, our offense needs to produce a lot more from the perimeter once we start facing better competition. If we can get a guy like Desi, Cylla, or Jalen to knock down 2/3 three pointers per game we will be great.
100% agree. Our shooting as a whole has not been where it needs to be.

Disagree a little.

In Anderson style it was about effort.

With Musselman it's about communicating and working together.

Looks like the players have bought in and are playing good team defense.

This is the key for literally every defense ever put on a basketball court. You can't be successful at all if you don't communicate and work together.

It doesn't change the fact that by the time you're in junior high you should know how to guard a basketball player. The success you have guarding that player is nearly 100% want to, or effort.

Eh, I shouldn't even say anything. Most these people around here are gonna twist my words in a way that makes it sound like I'm saying Musselman isn't coaching defense.

Disagree.

I think Anderson put too much emphasis on just effort and ability.

We are seeing now more emphasis on scouting teams and specific defensive planning. Along with Better communication and understanding which has cut down on guys being out of position and giving up easy looks.
