Looking back at rivals recruiting rankings

Making the comparison to Morris and Petrino's first full recruiting class. Petrino finished #16 in the nation and right now Morris is #12, according to rivals.
What caught my eye was some of the talk of OL recruiting and lack of stars there. I didn't remember this but looking at that class for Petrino, this was interesting.
Travis Swanson: 3* offers from Arkansas, Arizona, Kansas, Army, Houston, & Texas Tech.
Alvin Bailey: 3* offers from Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas, & Nebraska.
As much as we bag on the OL recruiting because of who else has offered, these guys didn't have much of an offer list and turned out pretty good for us. Also noted that in that class there were higher rated(4*)OL that either didn't start or transferred out of the program.

This happened under bert a ton the last 2-3 classes. It just so happened to doom him, and he inherited a team from which the last 2 classes had the samething happened.
Now morris has inherited the same thing. It is funny because there was a ton of talk about bert, and his retention/development. Everyone used the excuse about petrinos 2 lost classes to prop up bert. Little did they see it was happening to bert as well.
Go back, and look who is starting off of those last few bert classes. The higher rated ones are gone/busts, and he was left with the lower rated ones.
The best thing morris is doing right now is taking 29, and turning this roster over.

This. Bielema’s refusal to play the game everyone else plays drove me crazy. Even Bama turns their roster over. It’s just something that you have to do.
