How many SEC caliber athletes DOES Arkansas produce on average per year? Four or five? Something around there? Well, you obviously need every damn one of them available. Without missing a single one. Then you need 15 or so either all from Texas or a combo between Texas and Louisiana.

So yeah, Arkansas doesn't produce many, but you gotta get every one of them that we do produce.

You have to find them, they are there.

One of our starting linemen's best offer out of HS was UCA, in a sense we were lucky he walked on as he's out there and apparently the ones behind him are worse, so the line could only be worse in that aspect.

I think Bert's biggest failure was trying to get all of these guys to walk-on, on the other hand Nutt over did it by giving all of them scholarships.

Arkansas's best option is the least popular one, if you are losing, you sign the obvious ones, you get the boarder line ones to walk on with the promise that a scholarship will be available to them after the RS-Freshmen year if they make the grade.

So you are going to need a lot of available scholarships, this is where the culling of the heard takes place, after your RS-Freshmen year, still on the scout team? Let me introduce you to Arkansas Baptist. 6th String Sophomore? Say hello to UCA, 4th string Junior? Meet Arkansas Tech. Drop like a rock on the depth chart going into your RS-Senior year? Hope you earned that degree so I can help grad-transfer your arse out of here.

Use this roster management while winning? No one bats an eye, while losing? Everyone loses their mind.

Well, I don't think the dude up there right now even knows what the words roster management mean.

I'm not sure that walk-on offensive lineman is one of the best on the team. More like, one of the best at performing this new scheme I foolishly hired Dan Enos to run

He is a starting SEC linemen, so he is one of the best linemen in the SEC.

I'm told you can look past the face of things or analytics with other topics involving SEC sports, specifically coaching.

Well apparently I can't. Lol. I'm drawing a blank on what you're getting at with that comment.

I have mentioned this scheme problem before. The reason I bring it up is because awhile back I read something to this effect from a player's parent. According to said parent, this is exactly what has happened with our offensive line. As in, maybe Brian Wallace is a more talented player, just like the recruiting services said, but when Enos got here, he didn't want to use him because he felt Wallace was too big a body to utilize the blocking schemes he wants to run. So, in comes the walk-on. And here we are with a shitty line

Essentially the theory is that Chaney and Pitman built a road grader line and Enos wants a fleet footed line.

So it's not necessarily that our dudes aren't good. They just aren't properly utilized.

And Bielema, not managing his roster properly, has hamstrung his offense by not having enough, adequate bodies along the line.
