Check this out. The year before he got to Nevada that team only won 9 games. He won 24 in year 1! Since then he has averaged 7 losses per season.
That's outstanding. He is a clear upgrade from Mike. IMO that's all we really need. Mike got us close. This guy will put us over the top.

7 games a season ? I'd like to know the coaches and teams that were beating him. If he all that as a coach and a recruiter shouldn't he have dominated that league of nobody's ?
Under the circumstances 7 games a year sounds really bad. At least without seeing who was beating him.

Was he dominating the conference then taking it on the chin during his ooc games with the likes of Kentucky and Duke ? Is that it ?

&&& Remember, he was recruiting to Nevada... Not an SEC team on television every game.

If it ends up being this guy I'll be elated. He wins damn near 80% of his games. Anything over 75% is title contender. He has coached the pros. He took someone else's players that has only won 9 games and won 24 games with them his first year.
This guy is one of the very best, IMO. We would be lucky to land him.

Yeah I went and looked at his schedule. He rarely lets a game get away from him. Thats a good sign. He also took Texas Tech to overtime last year. And took out Texas and Cincy before being outed last year.
I posted some of this in another thread. His record is actually impressive. I think it would be a pretty good hire. But things have really gotten tough in the SEC. So we need it.

and his ability to relate to the kids, and promote our program through social media is light years above where we have been.

Yeah I guess I've grown so used to disappointing hires that I was ready to jump the gun on this one before doing any research.
Still wish we could get Beard. But this cat isn't so bad.

According to my sources we will be hiring a coach soon. Some will be happy, others will be dissapointed.
