Wins matter...and are the purpose of playing...that said I'm judging this year by how we play.

Are we tough? Do we compete? Are we prepared with a gameplan? Do we execute the gameplan?

So far...I'm thrilled. Granted some of the elation is because I'm comparing it to Chard and his clown show.

That said, if we check off all those questions with a yes I would expect 3-4 wins this year and to be a tough out for everyone else...even Bama.

Georgia is as good a football team as there is in the nation this year...and until they wore us down we were competitive. They are CLEARLY better, but we didn't embarass ourselves totally.

Improvement throughout the season versus regression will be my measuring stick for this staff. After only 2 games its very obvious that this is a better coached team on both sides of the ball. Special Teams need to pick it up.

My concern is that the wheels could come off as the season progresses based solely on our lack of depth. We go about 1 deep at a lot of positions and a string of injuries could put us behind the 8 ball.

That having been said the team is not only playing a lot harder than they did for Chad they are playing a lot smarter than they did for Chad. I fully expect us to knock off someone else this year. Anything more is gravy.

If Pittman wins 5 games this year give him the Coach of the Year award.
