Did not see this coming. I knew the OL was questionable, but what the hell happened?

Terrible recruiting on the lines, whiffing on assistant coaching hires, lazy head coach who is completely clueless, and a team that quit at halftime of the Mizzou game.
Oh, and we have the worst fricking strength and conditioning coach in the country. Herbert is beyond terrible.

Was it terrible recruiting on the lines or guys just not developing?

I lean towards just lack of development. Tonight you can see flashes of good talent all over the field for Arkansas. It has just not been developed properly which is why is isn't consistent.
This line combo looks better to me than what fat boys had picked out to start the season.
Kelley is legit. He isn't flustered and he has a bright future here under a different coaching staff IMO. The WRs are talented if they will let them loose. These burners were have don't need to be utilized over the damn middle all the fricking time on short passes.
Let Brandon Martin go, let Jordan go, let Nance go. We just saw what happens when you can get behind the secondary. We have the speed on the outside to do that. Why they waited until less than a minute left in the half to try that, I have no idea. All you have to do is look at last years Alabama game. We threw all over their secondary, and it wasn't dink and dunk bullshite.
Its like this entire offensive coaching staff along with Dumplin' just have a huge case of being dumbasses and seeing who can be the biggest dumbass.
In a game like this, they need to do the opposite of what they always try to do. Don't let the run set up the pass...let the pass set up the run...its not rocket surgery. You can't run first on Alabama.

Both. Our coaches are awful at player development, but shitting the bed so badly on D-line recruiting was one of the catalysts for switching to the 3-4.
Also, like I've said before, the fact that our offensive line consists of a converted DT and a blueshirt walk-on tells us all we need to know about this staff.

When it comes to situational playcalling, Enos is the stupidest motherfricker I've ever seen sometimes.

I believe that our star rating on ol and dl is pretty good when you take everyone into account.
I'd put it more on lack of player development than anything.
There's no doubt, when it comes to star ratings, our recruiting is better than ever. Player development, not so much.

Speed. We lack speed at all levels.

He needs to start the rest of the season. He was a fricking warrior tonight, never gave up, and led some really good drives.
Austin is a shell of what he was in the first half of last year, and his body language and reactions are terrible. It's time to turn that page.
Bert is a stupid motherfricker, so Austin will probably start next week.

Probably because our S&C coach completely forgot about the C part of his title for four. fricking. years.

Because our SC coach puts 30 pounds on burners.

I remember an episode of Being Bret Bielema where Bert was jokingly talking about Herbert being mad at Dominique Reed for not eating enough.
No idea why he wouldn't want to follow the dietary advice of the worst S&C coach in the country and wind up running a 4.8.

He was a lanky JUCO speedster. When you're a junior, you pretty much are what you are in terms of body type. He wasn't going to put on 20 lbs and all of a sudden be Julio Jones.
Knowing Herb, he probably wanted to put 30 lbs on him and make him a possession receiver.

I still blame Pittman
Recruited 2-3 primadonna 4 star ol recruits and some solid 3-4 star guys but never cared about building the depth because he's never stayed anywhere long. He bolted as soon as he saw it would be a problem
It's also the only coaching change, Bert has been pissed at, which tells you it caught him by surprise. It's been downhill ever since.
You can blame Anderson and he's likely a downgrade but he stepped into a tough situation
