Scouting report on Diamond Hogs next opponent ... host of the Tony Gwynn Classic San Diego State Aztecs.... We will have a challenge on Saturday but I think we will be up for it. SDST comes into the game with a 4-1 record. Sweeping UC Santa Barbara where the Aztecs had a 1.67 ERA for the series and a team .324 batting average. They are led at the plate by Chase Calabuig who batted .500 for the first weekend with 9 hits including 2 homeruns. He had a double in todays win over Arizona. SDST also had the 14th best recruiting class in the nation in 2017 and already have several contributors to the team this year. After the sweep they lost to San Diego in a single game 3-2 and then won today over Arizona 3-2 in the 10th inning benefiting from a wild pitch to score the winning run. The Aztecs were 42-21 last season plus they will have a home crowd on Saturday, at the same time Arkansas has about 200 very vocal fans that love to call those hogs !

Another tough match up for the Hogs. Cali teams made it a sweep of the opponents they faced on Friday.
