I never understood the need to hate every coach after they leave. Houston Nutt I understood why. He burned bridges and snaked his way down to Oxford.

I don't hate Petrino. I understand why he got fired, and I'm disappointed that his choices put us in the position that he did, but I don't hate him or root for his failure.

I didn't hate Stan Heath either. I didn't think he was good enough here, and neither was John Pelphrey. Regardless, I don't hate either of them. Heath was a flash in the pan and a good recruiter who didn't pan out, and Pelphrey seemed like he was in over his head. Regardless, I don't hate any of them.

Of all the coaches that have been let go lately, I think Bert has handled it quite well, at least publicly, so while he wasn't a great coach, I have to give him credit for that.
