It actually is but it's 50/50%. Steve Nash could be teaching these kids how to shoot free throws but if they don't get over the mental aspect of it and practice enough they will suck.

The thing is man Mike's not the kind of coach to demand everyone on the team to shoot 100 FTs after regular practice time. I hear him talking about "working" on free throws; but in my experience with basketball, if you're trying to have a team improve in-season, it's easier and more effective to Fix FTs with repition and leave the shooting form alone. (Unless some kid's form is just so insanely jacked up you might as well start from scratch lol)

Shooting is all about muscle memory. If we're looking at it honestly the poor FT shooting is half on the team and half on Mike. Idk how much these kids are shooting FTs after practice so maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Mike has em shooting 200 lol. Just wanted to add my two cents on what I've observed.

I said something about this earlier in the year when it came up, but the absolutely only way the free throw shooting woes are on Mike is if practicing free throws are not apart of the practice regimen. I know there are coaches that just leave the players to their own devices with free throws, but I don't agree with that philosophy. If they aren't being made to shoot them in practice after running to simulate game exhaustion, that's the only issue with Mike I'd have on this specific area.
