The issue was Irwin and all these Springdale people were swearing up and down that Gus was offered the Tulsa offensive coordinator job by Steve Kragthorpe before the 2005 season, before Kragthorpe left Tulsa for Louisville.

I told them, no, he was not offered that job. They lost their minds and ganged up on me as all the good Gus Koolaid Robots do.

Fact is, Charlie Stubbs was the OC there at Tulsa the whole time these dates were in question, he was something like "CUSA OC of the year" and went with Kragthorpe to Tulsa in 2006. But it didn't matter, the Springdalers and Irwin were in a rage that someone would question Gus getting offered Tulsa OC before 2005


this was obviously before Graham took over that job in 2006 and then got Gus to come there in 2007
