I see that they still accuse people of being AD plants if they voice their support for a candidate they don’t like. Dumbasses.

from what I gathered, it's not a rumor born of message board, but it was fricking Trey Biddy trying to scare folks into needing info and getting a subscription on his fricktard "premium info" site. The bait being this dipshit rumor about Chad Morris.

And screw that bitch arse excuse for a coach. I don't want him either.

I won't march on Fayetteville, but I'll quit being a Hog football fan until he's gone. No joke. Life is too short.

we have a chance to hire Lane Kiffin, and we're going to fricking blow it

some of you here are too young to remember how the GOBN of this state has screwed up so much stuff down through the years. It takes a toll. And many of you are too young to remember what it's like to have a real football program that can walk onto the field against anyone on any given day.

I thought Morris would be a good hire for us until the science nerd said he wouldn't. The science nerd knows his shite. The science nerd said that a Chad Morris hire would grade out as a failure in the coaching search. I believe him.

SMU's defense is ranked 122nd out of 129 teams

Chad Morris didn't even play college football. Didn't even try. Didn't even walkon and get knocked around as a scout teamer for a while. Players ultimately have no respect for guys like that who end up coaching.

we want Norvell or Kiffin or Venables. If they turn us down, we'll take Morris. He's not good enough to be our #2. THAT should be Norvell or Kiffin.

I don't disagree. I would rather us hire Norvell, Kiffin, or even Gus, but to criticize him to the degree that people are for not out recruiting Texas, TCU, A&M, OU, and OK State is ludicrous. SMU does not equal those Power 5 schools. Who knows, maybe Morris wearing the shirt of an SEC school would be the boost he needs to beat those schools out for recruits. Again, I do not believe for one second that Morris will be the hire though.

Leach - nope - seems like he played some type of club rugby at BYU, maybe not much more than intramural, I don't know

Paul Johnson at Ga Tech didn't play college

David Cutciff actually signed with Alabama out of high school and had some back issue or some type of injury and I believe never was even able to put the pads on in August of his freshman year. So Bear Bryant let him be a student assistant coach and/or athletic dorm something-or-other

Morris is a really good coach. He was the fuel that got Clemson cranking, like Gus was for Chizik at Aubie.

If we hire Morris it will be a good hire but will also mean we missed out on our top choices.

Hogville is the angry-faced man going 59 miles per hour in the left lane of the interstate.

hypothetically, if any good troll is over there, that person would be there to expose the dumbassery and expose the self important admin or two and moderator or two. I think many of the mods over there are great guys. But the few make it either unbearable, or fertile ground for trolling, depending on how you approach it.

anyway, the main self important admin over there, who recently joined here - - is the one who completely swallowed Trey Biddy's subscription bait about Chad Morris, and whipped out a thread to pretend like he was in the know. It caused chaos and then he pulled it back because it was making him look bad (his usual move)

anyway, trolling Hogville to expose the general dumbassery is a public service to humanity.

No,but Venables was the who loaded Clemson's defense with stud recruits that allowed them to do things like shut out Urban Meyer in the playoffs after losing 8 defensive starters to the NFL.
I mean, Morris did a good job with their offense, but when you have a generational talent at QB it gets a little easier to make that side of the ball hum. It isn't quite as easy on defense.

Here is a good article on Venables being recognized by rivals as their recruiter of the year at Clemson.

LINK

ETA: "He’s a super high-energy guy, always up and always positive,” Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell said.

“He’s a very, very friendly, affable, approachable person and that’s why he’s had so much success recruiting not only at Clemson but at Oklahoma before that and why he’s going to be such a great head coaching candidate. The guy loves recruiting and he is just a people person. Whoever gets him as a head coach will be getting a guy who can definitely compete on a recruiting level.”

I'm pretty connected to the coaching tree. Trust me. The talk among coaches is that Morris is possibly the best offensive mind among the younger coaches. I wouldn't have a problem at all with him being Head Hog.

According to the analytical science nerd from college football matrix, Chad Morris's team's offensive and defensive efficiency numbers are terrible. How does that square with the idea of him being an elite offensive mind?

I believe he goes by the name Arkansas Traveler now

he's banned people over there for years, whenever he's deep into one of his passive aggressive narcissistic rages. Then he will actually "apologize" for all the past bannings, and then go back to his old ways after a day or two. He's here btw -

not to be confused with Muskogee a mod
Muskogee will actually punish you for knowing 10 times more football than he knows. He has a need to be “the expert”, but he knows nothing about x’s and o’s and so his only recourse is listing stats. If you talk about linebacker reads, passing progression, etc., he doesn’t know how to respond, so he starts giving you “warnings” for being argumentative
