back and chest today.
I have to see an orthopedist Friday. Went to my check up Monday and my doctor insists. Over my hip.
since i have quit running and doing anything that makes the injury hurt (mountain climbers and burpees) it's been A LOT better. Not good enough, though.

Sorry to hear about that.
I'm still not over this sinus infection. Got a steroid shot Sunday but still.

The closer I get to 40...the more things go wrong.
Sorry about the sinus infection. Those are a right pain in the rear end to deal with. Hopefully the steroid helps

Oh, and I got in squats, bench press, and overhead press at lunch. I'm settling into a good routine:
Sun: kickboxing class
Mon: lift
Tues: BJJ class
Wed: lift
Thurs: BJJ class
Fri: rest
Sat: lift
Don't sweat it HogintheSW! I think several of us in here have MANY years on you and are still fighting the good fight. You have to be more diligent (and patient) about listening to your body and recovering, but you've got decades of good workouts left in you.

Got a new (old) freewheel for my bike, installed it, and took a test ride. I rode for thirty minutes - pace was decent considering my layoff, but my conditioning is lacking.

Gained 0.6 lbs this week darn it! I'm going with HogintheSW's story and saying it's muscle mass from starting to do squats and deadlifts again. Well ... that, or going out for beers after class last night the night before weigh in.
Also tweaked my friggin knee last night at bjj. Sparring with a big guy (6'3", 240ish), we ended up on our feet, and I tried to pick him up, sweep him over my leg, and get my leg outta the way ... 2 outta 3 ain't bad, except my knees are too old to bend that way. Hopefully, it's minor and will be fine by the time class rolls around again next Tues. I think I just need to learn to stay away from the stand-up game.

Arms today. Supposed to be at the Tom Landry Classic at Allen stadium but its still in the 100s here. No thanks.

Deadlifts & pullups. Still concerned about knees but was able to do deadlifts w/o problem. Straight line motion is fine - it's the twisting & turning that may be an issue.
Woke up early out of excitement over the Hog game! SO glad to be starting football season.
