Awesome! Feels good, doesn't it?

JM's Body Revolution starts Monday...but first, a weekend of birthday gluttony in St. Louis!

Elbow injury maybe? Not sure where the pain is exactly but try icing.

Pain is the joint on the inside of the elbow. That little bend area.

Ice 20 on and 20 off.

Be careful bc I had a elbow injury from lifting a weight wrong and it put me out of commission as far as working my arms for about 4 months. They are no joke

Happened to me all the time back when I gave a shite about myself. It's tendon and ligiments being overworked and a part of the process.

I lifted to exhaustion, almost always to the point where I could barely move body parts for 2 days. One of the things that helped was lowering the weight and upping the reps. Doing warm up sets and even a couple cool down light weight sets.

Some of my body builder friends swear by doing warm ups with 2.5 or 5 lbs and doing 50-60 reps at a time to get blood flow and pump then moving on to the heavy work.

That's what we usually do. High reps with as heavy as you can go.

For real, ice. It helps so much. I ice my knee every night after my days with my trainer, and whatever else is in pain.

So I discovered something interesting last week....

The Fayetteville Boys and Girls club....had no clue anyone could join this place....they have an indoor track upstairs, weights, machines, 8 treadmills, 8 ellipticals, 3 basketball courts, swimming pools, locker rooms, showers, and the most badass indoor water slide I've ever seen....

All for.....$25/month for a family

The Boys and Girls Club facility is a gem out there. I'm actually really excited to being able to move back to NWA. That place and the Jones Center is one of the reasons.

I don't talk about it this ever, because it depresses me from the lack of interest in sporting good companies to make my ball design, but I've invented a competitive sport. Chartered the International Federation, ratified rules, designed a specific use court, a scoring system, designed a scoresheet to keep stats and point by point scoring.

Grassroots at the after school program level is my introduction plan along with a small pro tournament circruit which is just me and my buddies playing it, but it helps build a history and a timeline for the sport. I've gotten some interest from the Chicago Public School system but alas without being able to make my balls, it's almost pointless because the game doesn't play the same with substitute balls and I have nothing tangible to sell and market and profit from to drive the growth.

This sport however, is an arse beater. Lots of constant running and sprinting, it melts the lbs off playing a couple times a week. Would love to teach anyone how to play or organize a team building activity or mini tournament for your church or company. I actually teach life building concepts with how the game is played and the rules and I call "The Spirit of the Game."

Oh yea anyone can play, we've adapted tennis courts so you can play solo or 2 or 3 to a team. It has elements of tennis, handball, and volleyball. International rules bring in a bit of soccer where you can use your feet and kick the ball. So there's a bit of Sepak Takraw too. It's super fast paced and lots of fun. We always have a little crowd of spectators form when we play.

I've been racking my brain on how to increase the court to play on basketball floors and use the existing infrastructure in the United States and making it a team sport since team sports draw larger crowds and are naturally easier to cheer for a team representing a community or school more so than an individual sport.

I've got some buddies in DFW, I've kicked around doing events at country clubs as a way to get it in front of wealthier more active and sporty folks that might see their kid really enjoy it and be interested in making an investment or helping connect with me people that can forward the sport.

Third day of Body Revolution. Structured like this:

Monday/Thursday: Triceps, chest, glutes, abs, quads
Tuesday/Friday: Biceps, hamstrings, abs
Wednesday/Saturday: Cardio

Overdid the hamstrings yesterday, so cardio this morning was interesting. I looked like a 70 year old woman doing suicides - run, run, run, pause, hand on hip, slooooooowly touch the floor, slooooooowly straighten up, repeat!

I am going to have to take a break from working out for a few weeks because I had a suspicious mole removed from the side of my chest. They cut a 1 cm hole in me and sewed it up, and told me to take it easy and avoid lifting anything heavy for a while so it can heal.
