While I have said we need to turn the roster over to compete in the SEC, and I believe that, I'm not a big fan of players being forced out the door.

Cole Kelley probably should leave for another school but mostly because I just don't see him getting a ton of playing time in the future. If he's happy staying here then by all means stay, but he would probably get a ton of PT at a smaller school.

J. Corn. is a tough one. I can see why he is upset. He was a legitimate fringe NFL prospect when he came to campus but that achille's injury and the Body By Herb work outs have robbed him of his great speed. He's mad, he's not a fan of the current coaching staff, and his college career is going out with a whimper not a bang. I hate to see it happen because he was one of the bright spots during the darkest days of Bert Ball.

The problem is a lot of players have given up on the season. Lets be honest, a lot of the fans have as well. We are all just half assing it. This is the most brutal stretch of college football for Arkansas since the end of World War II. If the fans are depressed over it I can only imagine how hard it is for the players to go out there and suffer through it.

We can leave the stadium or turn the channel. They're stuck there. They've had the spirit ground out of them. We have to get new blood in bring the morale up.

As for the coaching staff, Craddock is going through major growing pains right now as an OC. He can recruit like a maniac though. Chavis is a not a rah rah type guy that will get his players fired up. He'll field a good defense once he has the players to run it but he needs someone to be the emotional leader for his defense.

tldr, we are just going to have to get through this season and hope the new players give us a spark.

While I've been unimpressed with the play calling, game planning, and creativity on offense, Chad has had the play sheet covering his mouth as the plays are relayed into the QB too much this year for it to be all of Craddock's fault.

For all we know, and something that isn't going to be brought up in serious debate in year one is Craddock is the OC in title only like all of Gus's, Petrino's, and Nutt's OCs were/are...

If the rumors of Chavis's salary doubling to be extended next year are true, may be time to give the stache a go at being DC instead.

The staff signed 18 players in 2018.

The staff is expected to sign 29 players for 2019.

Total of Average of 23.5 (similar to what Bert signed each year number wise)

Assuming he is serious about pushing out those who aren't buying in or putting out effort, although nothing he has done this year has truly relayed that thought judging by certain players still being trotted out there yesterday, he can effectively have the roster completely flipped after the next class.

Now, with the 4 game red shirt rule in place this season, the fact that we have been out of contention for a bowl game since October 1st, of every upper classmen you list that needs to move one, you must then ask yourself why they were playing against LSU, Ms State, and Mizzou instead of getting their younger replacement snaps in an effort to prepare for next year since they will not have bowl practices to get this work in.

Instead certain players seeing the field has been questioned all year long in a season that will result in the worst in Arkansas's history.

I think they are really trying to preserve redshirts on guys, and play them only as much as they can. Now why do this when you plan to turn your roster over?

I know that i have seen he intends to sign 25 next year. So by year 3 he will have 71-72 as his guys out of 85.

They must have went in knowing they would lose, and plan to keep their guys , and get rid of the old ones and build for years 3-5. That is the only way i see them continueing to play these guys.

The new reshirt rules could have been used as a loop hole by chad and Arkansas this year.

Basically you can appear in any 4 games in the season while still red-shirting. Ok with that in mind, when you are entering October with one win with the easiest of a schedule Arkansas is ever going to see in the SEC, you can pretty much mark down bowl possibilities as a "NO".

So with the remaining 8 games in October/November, you have 50% of the remaining schedule to get the redshirt guys real live FBS and SEC experience. This doesn't mean you are not trying to win the games, but of the 8 games there have been plenty of blow outs these guys could have gained experience.

Honestly, with the way the schedule is set for next year, the non-con is 4 games that the guys you are redshirting could and should see action in. Until the rule is changed there is no reason not to do this.

Yes, he will have his guys by the next recruiting class going into year 3. He's able to trim the fat from the roster without worries of consequences from the APR thanks to Bert and staff, that is one area they did manage well.

Is this true.. From what I heard, the APR or Grad Rates have dropped and we are the lowest or close to it in the SEC...

The program was flirting with sanctions after Petrino, likely would have met them with him (25+ players had requested a transfer at Louisville before he was fired, similar attrition was happening here), the 4 year average improved every year while was also being one of the worst in the SEC as Petrino's last few classes were still on the average. Bert's single year scores were decent and the best in the SEC a couple years, the average is enough to flip the roster now.

Blake Johnson is a complete waste of a scholly. I’d imagine he’s gone after being benched for a walk on freshman
