If Jordan Jones isn't offered yesterday, everyone should be fired. He put on a clinic today.

Same family as Jeff Savage if any of you remember him at RB for the Hogs. Also family with Jonathan Modica, former basketball stand put for the Hogs.

What he came for was an offer from the instate Hogs. After running a blazing 4.34 forty-yard dash and dominating defenders in 1-on-1s throughout the afternoon session, Jones got what he came for.
And it didn't take him long to commit to the Razorbacks.
"(Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema) just told me to stay on top of my grades, and he told me he wanted to give me a scholarship," said Jones, a 6-2, 180-pound receiver who already held an offer from Tulsa. "It was pretty cool getting an offer from the hometown team.
"They're No. 1 all the way. Being a hometown guy, they're No. 1 in my heart. I just went with my heart and they're the No. 1 team. I committed."
Jones, who had 687 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Buckaroos last fall, said he thinks the world of Bielema.
"I like Coach B. It's more than football with him," said Jones, who is a cousin of former Razorback basketball player Jonathan Modica. "He sat me down and told me he wants me and to stay on top of my grades."

Well I already love him.
Plus, being a relative of Modica only raises his stock IMO.

I love that he considers himself a hometown guy despite growing up 300+ miles and a 5 hour drive away.
This is what it means to be an Arkansawer. Get that guy on the phone/txts/twitter/snap/insta 'crooting KJ and the rest of the in state studs and the Memphis guys too.
Feel free to ask if you're not sure if you know the differences between Arkansans, Arky's, and Arkansawers.

Jordan carries around a 3.7 gap, so grades will not be an issue.
Working for us was his father being a huge Hog fan and us getting him early.
Used to, dish and direct tv customers in south central Arkansas got the local channels out of Louisiana. That alone has helped divide that southern area into LSU fans.
I wish we could pass some law where they had to have Arkansas stations.

I don't think I know what Arkansawyers means?
This reminds me of a convo I had with the younger of two nephs that go to the you of a recently. He said that the Fayetteville kids he's met there are typically more snobby and act like their pooh doesn't stink compared with all the other kids.
eta: rereading your post I realize I had a brain spasm- I thought you were kind of poking so I was being
back but now I'm back to my smart self and realize that that never would have reminded me of this convo had I read it right in the first place. So, instead of just letting it die I had to go back and clarify and call myself out for being a dork.
Btw, I too consider myself a hometowner in my heart and I grew up 150??? miles away.

On the flip side, border towns in NEOK and SWMO, get the same channels as we do in God's Country.

I can tell you the origins of "Arkys" stems from the dust bowl and migration out west to Cali, "Arky" didn't have as bad of a meaning as "Okies".
"Okies" were given because people from Oklahoma out there were pure trash, thieves, and low lifes. "Arky" referred to poor hard working people from Arkansas.
