Let's not get too excited now.. bama??? Let us begin with Rafe beating the likes of Texas Tech, Rutgers, etc...

Then lets beat Moo State in OT! then on to bigger and better things.

Not trying to be a downer, but we are still a ways off. I think we will get there with CBB though

Didn't mean it in that way. Rafe played great today, just don't want any to come in here and think he is going to win us more than 5 games if he was to be named starter.

Either way Rafe has the tools to be a good one.

I agree... He has the tools within himself, but needs the WR help, and a Defensive backfield, LB Corp to make any real noise. I am really concerned with the LB, Safety, and Corner situation

I've been high on him for awhile. he's the type of student-athlete you don't pass over. He's got the skills on and off the field, and hopefully the smarts to put himself in good position to make plays.
Idiots on HIV keep saying he has grade/ACT issues for some reason, despite the fact that he's an honors student and National Air Guard Scholar. Granted, some people on HIV actually know who he is and know academics aren't an issue.

Brandon Allen will be your starter next year. If he continues to struggle I could see AA replacing him by the 4th or 5th game.
I don't see Peavey coming in as a true freshman and jumping 2 qbs as the starter.

247 National Writer, Steve Wiltfong, has changed his pick on Brian Wallace from Bama to Arkansas this morning. Notable because he has been the 247 guy following Wallace's recruitment for the last year. I don't think I've seen anyone at 247 put out a story on Brian other that him.

Supposedly he made his final decision last night. Now we just have to wait until tomorrow to find out who he picked.

I'm not getting my hopes up and still fully expect him to pick Bama on national TV. However, I just wanted to pass that along.

Rafes passing was better than I expected it to be.

If Brandon Allen is the starter, we are in a world of hurt going forward.

Duwop will end up on the defensive side of the ball. Brandon will fall to #2 and Rafe will become the starter.

I've got 0 confidence in any Arkansas QB being successful at this point. That includes Storey.

I hope I'm wrong on Storey, but history speaks for itself on Arkansas blue chip QBs who are highly touted.

Does Mallett count? I know he was from the Texas side, but he was born in Arkansas.

Arkansas to Texas to Michigan to Arkansas

I dunno....that's a long journey

Even so, you can list a couple good QBs and compare to....Jared McBride, Brashears, Kodi Burns, Keihl Frazier, Mitch Mustain, Brandon Allen, etc.

I know I left some off, but you get the picture.

Funny list. Half of them have one person in common.

I'm not certain, but most of our all conference QBs have been out of staters....Stoerner, Ferguson, Grovey, Calcagni, Marshall, McHan, Scanlon.

Tyler Wilson is home grown, but ended up with a 15-10 record.

Mallett was born here, but played football in Texas and signed with Michigan before coming here.

Matt Jones....would we classify him as a true QB or just a freak athlete?

I know Liddell's parents, and I doubt grades are a problem. If they are, it's not his parents fault. They are both teachers (or were, not sure if his dad still teaches or not.)

Or maybe both the Allens were highly overrated by local media for the past five years. We do have the most kool aid drinking media around pretty much. I think BP just made guys look better than they are a lot of times, see TW.

I think Rafe has a good shot of starting at some point next season b/c of going through spring ball. If we lose a couple early there will be a change b/c why wouldn't you try and get Rafe ready for season 3. If I was Bert I would cut my losses next year and go all in for 2015, starting at QB. I'd play all my young guys, screw these no talent guys we go in BP and JLS era. Lets face it, we're not going to be much better next year either way, Vegas has a pegged at 4.5 wins which is probably as good as we can hope for with our schedule again next year

Overrated 7A football did

It's not Austin's fault....it's the AAA's fault...they're killing our state football product

One thing is certain and that is that B.Allen has very little fan support. I would love more than anything for him to prove us wrong and look serviceable but I just dont see it happening.

Rafe, Duwop, or Austin should at least see some playing time against creampuffs.

What sucks about BA is he's talented and is apparently a pretty good quarterback in practices. He just gets rattled easily and sucks when it finally means something.
