So the early word from my sources on jr day is that I still have yet to get a source that has any real inside info. Anyone else have any info?

Well you're about as reliable as anyone on hogville in that case. You might actually be pretty legit.

I think I'll just wait to read USA Today on the first Thursday in Feb. like in the old days to see who signed where.

Honestly, not too impressed with the video. I didn't see good route running and I did see lots and lots of bad QB play and poorly thrown balls.
He's an interesting prospect, I think he's going to have to come to camp and have a killer Sr. season for CBP to offer. It appears we're serious about beefing up the secondary with 6-1 185lb CB and 6-3 215lb S type players.

Idk if he is tall enough. but he may have the instincts to be a player. look at matheiu for lsu. Kid is dangerous if he is used correctly.

Lee's Summit (Mo.) West four-star linebacker Nick Ramirez didn't receive the offer he was looking for at Arkansas' junior day over the weekend, but he's not getting too worked up about it. The 6-1, 228-pounder already owns offers from several Big Ten members and a couple from the Big 12, and he's okay with the Razorbacks taking their time to make sure he's their guy.
Ramirez brought his father, two brothers and a friend to Fayetteville on Saturday "It's not a big deal," Ramirez said on Sunday. "Whatever they have planned, it's obviously what they think is best for the program, not necessarily what's best for me, and that's totally fine with me. I still feel good about it." Ramirez brought his father, two younger brothers and a friend on his trip to Fayetteville (Ark.) on Saturday and said they were all blown away by what they saw. "I heard about all of their accomplishments this season and how they ended up being number five in the nation," he said. "We learned about the new facilities they're building, checked out their awesome weight room and all the stuff they do over there, checked out the indoor practice field, ate some food, all that good stuff.
"The highlight video was definitely my favorite part. I had goosebumps. It just made me want to put an Arkansas helmet on and run out the Hog nose." His little brothers had the same feeling. "My brothers were blown away," Ramirez said. "They were like, 'Nick, go to Arkansas, man. You've got to go to Arkansas.' I told them, 'Guys, I can't go to Arkansas, I don't have that option, yet. I'm still waiting.'"
Ramirez's teammate at West High, defensive end Jamone Boyd, did receive that option on his way out of town Saturday evening. "He's my teammate and we're good buddies, and I know he was pretty excited about it," Ramirez said. Ramirez said he hopes to return to Fayetteville for one of Arkansas' summer camps, and in the meantime he'll just keep visiting as many schools as possible. "I'll have to check with the schedule and everything," he said. "I mean, I definitely want to go back down [to Arkansas] this summer, but it'll be a matter of if I can go.
"I don't have my visits lined up but I'm planning on visiting places during spring break. Illinois contacted me on Facebook and told me they want me to come to their junior day next weekend, so I'll have to check with my dad and see if we can make it to that."

So are we playing hard to get?

I just don't get why we haven't offered him yet. Based off all his comments recently it seems that if we would just recruit him as hard as Mizzou is doing then he would be ours. I just don't get the coaches thought process on this one.

Haynes and Johnson are a little more picky than the other staff about giving out offers, I assume he'll eventually get one, I thought he would get one this past weekend.

Do they wanna see him at camp first? I wonder if it's b/c of this new hybrid system we're gonna be running and they aren't sure if he can play anywhere besides the LB position?

I'm pretty sure Mekale McKay is going to be a hawg from his twitter activity... Retweeting Arkansas fans that are kinda talking bad about Ole Miss.
