Yep. Should have the whole staff together, kids are back in school, contact is open country and the wild west until NSD.
I doubt the assistants will sleep in their beds in Fayetteville more than 5 nights before NSD.
I keep telling myself to step back from recruiting and not worry about it until they've finished their 2nd year on campus, but jeez recruiting is so important to competing down the road.

we hit the dead period now will be a bit before they contact him. James is a pretty big time recruit isn't he?
Not really anymore. He had a not so good senior year and plummeted down the recruiting rankings. I think he was a top 15 back on rivals when he was committed to us and now he is down in the mid 50's I think.

To be fair, he play through a hamstring injury all season.
Rivals never thought highly of him, he was ranked in the 40's when he was evaluated.
Scout has held him right about the 25th ranked RB or so all year. 24/7 gave him a big drop, I believe.

Any updates on Na' Ty Rodgers or John Ross?

No but sounds like we'll probably land Brannon Barry.

247 may have been what I was thinking. I know he dropped far somewhere. I would still take him in a heartbeat. I'm a huge fan of big backs.

Rivals and 247 both dropped him quite a bit, #55 RB on Rivals and #40 on 247.
Composite #22 on 247 though, still a 4 star on ESPN and Scout.

2014 WR Brannon Barry, 6-4 1/2, 200, 4.54 of St. Charles, Ill. East is a name to watch for in the future. He's drawing interest from most of the Big Ten schools, including Wisconsin. He said he and Razorback DC Chris Ash have talked on a regular basis while Ash was at Wisconsin. He has strong interest in Arkansas because his father side of the family has numerous Arkansas graduates. Barry's sister graduated from Arkansas in the spring. He loves the campus after visiting several times. His 4.54 time in the 40 is laser timed.

Nice. I'm hoping we can get a deep threat WR in this class too, we're gonna need a couple. The Humphrey/Wade/Peterson fiasco is really going to rear its ugly head this coming season.
Keante Minor can go ahead process himself fwiw.

Crazy to think that Minor will be a JR next year. He is one that really should have redshirted.

RB Terrell Newby of West Hills,(Ca.) Chiminade high school said Arkansas RB Coach Joel Thomas left him a message on Facebook Christmas Day. He said he and Thomas have been getting to know one another since signing day in Feb and he could see himself playing for Thomas. His parents are also impressed with Thomas.
Newby has officially visited Nebraska and has a set Jan. 11 for a visit to UCLA. He said plans to talk to Thomas and hopes to set up an official visit to Fayetteville. He said Arkansas is definitely one of the visits he wants to take.

OL Reeve Koehler, 6-3, 315, 5.2 seconds in the 40 dash of Honolulu, Hawaii, St. Louis high school. has set the Jan. 18-20 weekend to officially visit Arkansas. He's rated a 4-star recruit by Tom Lemming, 247, and Rivals.
Getting them on campus is half the battle, I like our chances a lot.

I just saw on twitter that they posted a Jarvis Cooper update. I haven't heard anything on that guy in awhile and the 247 guys say that they can't get ahold of him. I'm just curious about what it says.
