There are also some new to CFB scheme things that teams are doing to really confuse QBs who are prone to predetermining where the ball is going to go, but ultimately Milroe was a power hitter who couldn’t handle a curve ball.

When teams had the defensive talent to take away the things he can do (QB power, 4 verts, etc) there wasn’t much of anything that worked offensively.

It’s why I wasn’t that worried about not making the playoffs. There’s absolutely no way we weren’t going to run into an elite front 7 like Texas who would grind our offense into dust.
