That is a long time to wait. It would have been better if she had progressed to a major college while waiting. But it is clear we have always treated WBB like a step child.

Because she's a damn winner, that's why! And she's a home girl, Built by Bama. Dammit, just when I thought Byrne would be getting ready to pull the trigger on Curry, she goes and wins some ranked games. I'm happy for the girls but if you read Curry's bio, she has a ceiling and we're damn near it. Y'all hop on board the Madonna bandwagon and see how far the old gal can take us!

Eh. If we had to hire a non major coach I would hire Tim Miller from Hazel Green. Even though he was on staff he didn't have the reigns as an assistant.
Best HS girls coach in AL history. He's the Geno Auriemma of HS hoops on the ladies side.

Source: Alabama shooting guard John Petty’s elbow injury is a sprain and it’s possible he could be back before the end of the regular season.
At the very least, sounds like they’re hopeful they'll have him back for the SEC tournament.
