I love Oats but I do have a little bit of criticism. Look at everyone of our offensive possessions from about the 3 and half minute mark going forward when that game started slipping away. We go down and make one pass and jack up a horrible three. I think we have to have a few plays that we can run for those end of game situations and crunch time that we can rely on and not just come down and fling up a three.

Agreed. Way too stagnant tonight and we shouldn’t have ever slowed things down with such a small lead. To be fair though, people were upset for us not slowing things down up big at the 10 min mark against LSU too. I actually liked the way he didn’t slow it down as I’m a big believer in continuing to do what got you the lead (in all sports), unless we’re at the VERY end of the game and have a sizable lead that we’re trying to manage.

My main and really only complaint with Oats is his lack of calling TOs when the other team goes on a run. He never does it.

Expecting big moments with Bama basketball is the definition of getting carried away.
Tonight was just a normal, yearly, February letdown game.

We are not really a good team. Certainly not what we think or thought they are. The new fast exciting offense is masking a whole lot of ugly boils under the surface. A little scratching and we see the reality. We are good for an upset or two but everyone this year is doing that in SEC. Only hope- against hope is we go on a improbable run and make it to the Tourney. Oats keeps pointing to Awbarn last year; they were 7-7 in SEC at one stage. Otherwise it's another wasted year of Bama basketball.

I’m not sure Coach K could’ve got is to the tournament once we lost Herb on top of Rojas and Gary, those probably would’ve been 3 of out 4 top rebounders this season. Herb played his best with one hand but we needed his driving ability too he and Kira were really the only ones who could get to the basket.

Things are still looking bright Oats is probably about to et his 2nd 5 star commitment most likely and we have basically a whole new team of players coming in next year. I feel like this is last year for a while we’re gonna be on the bubble.

I applaud the way you can spin anything into a positive. This yearly thread needs at least one guy for that.

Yes it does - and Fever is much more realistic and reason giving than the insane person we used to have.

I do like Fever's optimism on the heels of another difficult loss.

This isn’t a difficult loss. This is a lay down and curl up in the fetal position quit job in your own house loss because Herb is the only man on that team with a pair. The rest need to go change their tampons.

Shack has a pair too. I know he missed the 3 FTs but he is fearless
