Tua wins Polynesian Bowl College Player of the Year 2018 and Lia gets Co-HS Player of Year

In a strange, small world scenario.

I just talked with a guy who used to work for me about 7 years back. I haven't seen him since I left Hawaii, but our jobs had us cross paths this AM.

As we were catching up, he mentioned his nephews and the awards show. He said his nephew was the Polynesian player of the year, and I'd probably know him as he recalled me being from Bama. I said, "Tua? Tua is you nephew?" He said yes. I said, "yes, yes I've heard of him."

I clarified it was uncle in the traditional sense of the term, not an "everyone on a polynesian island is auntie, uncle or cousin" scenario

It was just funny to me. Small world.
