Just an observation as I was not able to watch any of the game except the last 5 sec. We score 34 in the first half and only 17 in the second. Wasnt this one of our problems last year. Except this year we are learning to win those close games unlike last year. Not having Ingram going forward is not a good thing. Yes I realize that is an understatement.

That is the only time that has happened this year, while it was a consistent occurrence under Grant. Under Grant they would run the clock down and get a horrible shot off most of the time. Although that happened a couple of times yesterday, they got off good shots that just didn't go in. They also had several fast break opportunities yesterday that they didn't convert, some due to the whistle being swallowed by the refs. Clemson shot 14 free throws to Bama's 4. I was extremely pleased to see CAJ continue to coach through all of adversity. It kept their minds focused on winning and allowed Hale to make a big play to win the game.

Avery Johnson deserves a lot of credit for zeroing in on opponents main player. Blossomgame for the most part was shut down. Hale and Obasahan did a great job defensively.

Also, Bama finally rebounded an opponent. 44-30 on the glass- 21 which were offensive rebounds.

Great win on the road, but the team has to play better down the stretch in the second half. 8 minutes without a score is very Grant-esque. I realize there were some unlucky bounces, and fricking Clemson got away with mauling out men inside and hacking, but I didn't like some of the shot selections in the 2nd half.

The shot selections and scoring was so poor because the ball just sticks in Coleman's hands. There was no passing or swinging the ball.

Outside of a few horrible possessions, I didn't think the shot selections were all that bad. OB and Hale both had some good, wide open shots, but they just couldn't hit them. I was a lot more confident in all of the possessions in the 2nd half in this game than I was last year. Ingram being out definitely hurts, but they will work through it.

I attributed the scoring drop off to a good bit of this - particularly at the post positions.

Clemson did a better job of defending the outside shot in the second half and Bama understandably cooled. I thought Bama did a really good job adjusting to Clemson's changes by penetrating and dishing to the post, but those guys simply couldn't finish.

Hale was the only post player that played offense worth a shait last night so it was fitting that he made the steal & score that won the game. Taylor, Kessens, Hall and Norris were a combined 5-19 (all 2 point attempts). Taylor was particularly bad 1-6 from the floor, 0-2 from the line, and I don't think he had a look from any further than 3' away.

If the post guys had been decent at all, Bama wins by 10.

Coleman seems selfish to me. Holds onto the ball too long, won't pass it up unless he's being swarmed by defensive players. I hope CAJ sees this.

There were some great passes inside I think to Taylor and Kessens, just couldn't finish. I really liked what I saw out of Hall.

You are talking about Hale, not Hall.

And for the love of god, somebody tell Taylor to go up strong with two hands and dunk the ball.

This pussy footing around the rim and putting the ball on the floor is pissing me off. He either gets stripped when dribbling or misses and easy shot.

Either make one power dribble to get inside for the jam, or put up the baby hook. No more going 1/6 missing all layups.

Be a fricking man, go up strong and at least draw the foul.
