Wow. Wait until you see how we lost that one.

I read it had something to do with a late offensive foul.

Did we choke again?
We were winning 56-50 with 2:30 left to play and lost 59-56.
We were down 57-56 and Kayla Middlebrook hit a shot with like 1.8 seconds left, but was called for a (slightly controversial) charge so the bucket was waived off. Curry got hit with a tech and we lost.

Oregon beat Arizona last night, but ND lost to Syracuse by 15.

Any you guys use the RPI wizard?

Oh yea, it's awesome (and probably not right at all, but whatever).
My most likely "best case scenario" is
@ USCe - L
@ State - W
vs Missouri - W
vs A&M - W
@ Florida - L
@ LSU - L
vs State - W
@ Kentucky - L
vs Auburn - W
vs Arkansas - W
@ Georgia - W
1st round - Ole Miss - W
2nd round - A&M - L
That would put us at 19-13 with an RPI of 46. That is squarely on the bubble territory and quite frankly it isn't THAT crazy a scenario in terms of wins and losses. The 2 toughest "wins" I have listed would be vs A&M and @ UGA. Other than that, I think we should win the rest of those games (clearly doesn't mean we will, but wins there wouldn't be 'upsets').
Same except lose @ UGA, beat Vandy R1 and lose to KY R2 puts us at : 18-14, RPI 58
Same except lose at home to A&M : 18-14, RPI 61
Same except beat Vandy, A&M in Tourney, lose to LSU in Final 4 : 20-13, RPI 41

Our RPI is going to give us a legit chance down the stretch if we don't botch games with State or Missouri.
We need to take care of business @ State and vs Missouri and we head into the home game with A&M at 13-9 (4-6) with an RPI somewhere around 50. That game would be HUGE. A win and we would be 14-9 (5-6) with a Top 40ish RPI and 4 Top 50 wins heading into @ UF and @ LSU.

I've been doing different scenarios every day. It would be a big "If", but I ran it with us finishing 19-11, with key wins over A&M, @UGA, and @LSU. Avoiding any slip ups, with a SOS of 35 and an RPI at 39, we would have a solid chance at the tournament, along with a ton of momentum going into the SEC Tournament.
Again, it's a big IF, but crazy shite happens in CBB.

I don't think we can both win all the games we "should" win AND win 1/2 we shouldn't. I wouldn't surprised if we beat A&M at home but lost on the road to State or something.
However, the fact that we really only need 1 or 2 "upset" wins to basically be in the tournament at this point is incredible. If we win the games we should, beat A&M at home and win at UGA, we go into the SECT squarely on the bubble.
One home win over a team about like USCe and a road win over a team equal to us and wins over bad teams at home and we are in the conversation. That's incredible.

Also, a lot of our OOC opponents are really playing well in their conferences, and their RPI are slowing crawling up.
- Oregon 3 RPI and 6-2 in the P12 (dang it we coulda won that game)
- Xavier 4 RPI and 6-2 in the Big East
- Dayton 9 RPI and 7-1 in the A10
- Wichita is doing what it does, 28 RPI and 9-0 in the MVC
- Notre Dame 46 RPI and 5-3 in the ACC
- Clemson 108 RPI and 6-2 in the ACC
- ULL's RPI is up to 127 and they are 6-3 in the SunBelt
- Winthrop's RPI is up to 170 and they are 7-3 in the Big South
- Norfolk State's RPI is up to 191 and they are 6-1 in the MEAC

If we finished like that we'd likely been in First Four out territory. Couldn't be mad about it but boy would we have a few we lost that we'd look back on and gnash teeth.

I thought about that earlier today. Those Oregon and LSU losses really hurt.

How much are we going to win by today?
Posted on 1/30/16 at 12:02 pm to Bryant91092
We win by one on a buzzer beater or a shot with less than 1.0 on the clock imo.
