AJ Jr is tough and does all he can, but he's not a good ball handler and he beats the shite of the basketball out there. He just dribbles and dribbles and dribbles. I love having him on the roster because I love how he plays without fear, but he's not a great option as the backup PG. About 1/3 of the possessions he is running the point don't get started until we are under 15 on the shot clock and almost always end in disaster.

A spot guy for 9-10 minutes a game maybe, but he doesn't need to be playing 20 minutes per game.

Well someone who watches the same games I've been watching...he is good off ball because he will shoot but not as a pg and Ingram neither.

One of our biggest issues this year is being forced to put our 2 best offensive players at the point in positions they aren't comfortable or good at.

I may be being a huge homer, but I think Sexton running the point and spreading things out for Key and Ingram next year is going to dynamically change our offense. Ingram and Key catching and shooting or catching and driving is significantly different than basically resetting with 7 on the shot clock and having to create against a sagging man to man.

Such a great scout and roster management job by Avery to get him here, too.

Yea Sexton should make us a lot better. Don't know the last time we've had a guy that attacks consistently. Will be nice to have a guy that goes to the hole when the pick comes. I think JP will do nice things for us as well. Especially with his shooting ability.

It's hard to quantify how much better an offense can be when you have a ballhander who is a threat to break everything down off the dribble.

It makes everybody else better because everyone gets easier looks, better shots, less pressure. It's such a big deal.

I think his attitude will help more than anything.

Everything about him is built perfectly to be what we need right now. Makeup, attitude, explosiveness, position, etc. Just hope the pressure doesn't do him in (which would shock me based on what I know about him).

Probably won't find anyone quite that good, but will just have to hope Giddens can contribute some muscle down there to go with Hall.

Agree. One thing about the way we've played coming down the stretch. Guys looking to transfer should want to come here.

Don't care as long as I don't have to watch Jimmie Taylor squat to pee in the paint anymore.

Why did they make it where we could potentially play Clemson again? I don't get it.
