Those of you that are more than arm chair BB experts please give me an analysis of year one under AJ compared to year two under AJ. To me it looks the same except last year we had a go to guy Obasahan and this year we don't have one. I have a hard time understanding why we can score 90 against LSU and then score under 60 against UGA and both being home games. Was it all about the outside shots not falling against UGA.

Well, we have Wilder's fight and Bama B-Ball tonight.

Go look at LSU's schedule. Basically every single team scores 90 on them. That was more to do with them being bad, not us being good. Both years were basically the same except I think thus year was slightly better. Last year we relied on one person to score while this year we can sometimes rely on different people. Last year we were the worst rebounding team in the SEC. Thisnyear we are the best. Last year we were 8-10 in the SEC, and now we're 9-6 with 3 games left and still a shot at a double bye in the SEC. There's a lot of small things that we improved on. I could go on and on. The only thing holding us back is not having the consistent shooters to win. Once we get those, we'll be fine

One thing I feel like is better this year is that our team doesn't really get blown out. Last year against Kentucky, Dayton, Xavier, and Creighton we were never even close to winning.

Per KenPom this team is almost 30 spots higher in overall performance than last year's.

we have no excuse for losing to AU twice. This is what burns me.

I'm hype for this boxing tonight. 154 pound championship before Wilder and Washington. Washington isn't a bad contender. He might give Wilder some trouble.
Hopefully the views aren't awful from my cheap seats.

I agree it's frustrating, but Auburn isn't a bad team. When they are knocking down their shots like they did in the 2nd game, they're a tough team.
Auburn's team definitely has more talent at the moment.

Yeah Auburn has 2 five stars I think and Bruce had an extra year head start over Avery. I'm obviously disappointed we lost but I'm not too mad. Now if we come out next year and get swept I'll be furious, but I seriously doubt that'll happen

Score predictions for today? We seem to play so much better on the road. That gives me hope for today. I'm scared to make a score prediction tho bc last time I did we lost

I'm sticking with my 2 wins followed by 1 loss trend, so I'll say we win 63-59

They're a TERRIBLE matchup for us. IMO, literally the worst team in the league for us to face.
They've got a lot of young, good players including a reliable guy in the paint that can score points in bunches.
The only reason they aren't contending for the dance is that they play terrible defense. Teams with anything close to a reliable scorer and a decent defense get an occasional stop and eventually end up outscoring them. We're just the opposite. We've got a really good defense but completely lack that scorer so the script flips. Eventually, our defense breaks down and they end up outscoring us.

and this comment does not bode well for us beating them twice next year as they are also young.

Next year we will have people who can score and if Auburn keeps playing bad defense, we'll be able to maybe outscore them. We at least shouldn't get swept next year

Such a bipolar team, so I'll say 62-58 Bama.
My head tells me 65-55 A&M.

I guess I'll go ahead and make my prediction: Avery Jr leads us in scoring followed by Key and Armond. Bama wins 65-61.

I really wish we had another year from Bola. He has no offensive game, but his ability to get rebounds is a huge plus. Sucks we have no one this year who can capitalize on second chance opportunities, because when you can consistently snag rebounds like that, the defense is left vulnerable to attack.

Imagine having Bola next year getting rebounds for Sexton and Petty
