Ingram draws TONS of fouls. We have to keep getting him more comfortable being an alpha dog and going to the hole.

The big difference I'm seeing this year versus last year and with Grant's final couple of teams:

This group is learning what it takes to win the last 5 minutes of the ball game! Very encouraged to see them close out the Georgia and MSU games.

The Auburn game still stings, but it looks like that experience has pushed them to be better.

Agree. We don't play scared. We used to clutch the ball and try to salt every game away once we got inside 5 minutes. We don't do that anymore.

It seems like that won't ever be a huge problem with an Avery Johnson team. He seems to know how to close games at least half the time. Every time we had a close game with a few minutes left under Grant, we lost and it was expected. Now when we get a close game with a few minutes left, you at least know there's a chance we win. And once we get more talent in, we'll be able to close games even more

At 12-6 wouldn't we probably be a 4 seed? A 12-6 team hasn't been lower than a 4 seed since expansion.

Yea probably. Honestly, probably be better if we were a 5. Another chance at a Top 100 win.

I think whoever finishes 12th in the SEC will be out of the top 100 in RPI by the tournament, so I don't think a win in the five twelve matchup would be very valuable. If we're a four we'd probably have a better chance to win the four five matchup.

As it stands right now, we'd be the 4 seed and would likely play Arkansas or Auburn

Right now I'm very cautiously optimistic, but if we can go 2-0 this week, my hopes will be sky high. That's typically when Bama lets us down

If we go 2-0 this week, we'll be 15-7 (8-2). We will have a reason to be excited then. That record going into a huge week that includes South Carolina and Kentucky would be awesome. Even if we go 2-0 this week and 0-2 next week, we'll be sitting at 15-9 (8-4) with a pretty easy stretch of games coming. Just cannot lose any easy games like we did last year in that final stretch.

How do ya'll feel about Auburn v Alabama RD2?

Is there something that has changed that makes you feel confident? Seemed pretty mismatched RD1

Auburn was 28-42 from the free throw line. Bama was 10-19. If we can even those stats out a bit, it should help tremendously. Auburn also shot over 61% from three. Bama was around 28%

Auburn's only away conference win is Missouri. That's what makes me more confident. Young offensive teams often struggle on the road in conference. Also, the first game was back and forth until the final 10. It's not like Auburn was up 10 at the half

The only thing that scares me are those 5-8 minute scoring droughts we go on with no go-to scorer to break them. We can't seem to break out of them. Otherwise we are playing scrappy basketball and winning games.

Not extremely confident but would still think Alabama has to be the slight favorites just based on the home court advantage, especially considering how young Auburn is.

The only real "mismatch" that has to be dealt with is Wiley. Not sure anyone was ready for how strong in the post he was and that was the difference maker and then some at Auburn.

The scary thing about Auburn is they have guys that can take over games. Key is a really good player, but I don't think he's the type of player that catches fire

Game was even through 3/4. Pretty sure it was tied with 10 minutes to before Auburn went on a great run to finish. Crazy free throw disparity in Auburn's favor and Auburn shooting 60% from 3 likely won't be replicated in Tuscaloosa.

Did you actually watch the first game?

Should be a good one.
