Agreed. Collins and Ingram play well together.

King's in the doghouse. Not sure why.

Yep,like I said keep jr off the court and start knocking down some open shots and we will have a much better half. Jr is just bad!lol I can't stress enough about how much I love key! Man he is a smart all around good player. All this with bola only playing like 3 minutes. Lol When he was in, he was very physical and aggressive under the basket. Corbin Collins is also very smart, and to me our leader. Looking forward to watching this team start to gel and becoming a pretty good team! Roll Tide guys! Win #1 in the books.#buckleup

He's a leader, but Ingram looks like the leader of this team. But Collins hasn't been there long, and it's only going to get better as the team gels.

This team is such much more fun style of basketball to watch vs Grant. That offense was boring and ineffective against anyone with a pulse on defense. Even when our shots aren't falling, we at least have there chance to score in transition.

Junior reminds me of a worse Hankerson; Panics when he has the ball and does something completely out of control. I love having him on the team for recruiting, but I wasn't thrilled with how early he came into the game. Hopefully he's just had some nerves, but with what I've seen he shouldn't be our backup PG.

Other Notes:

- Norris is shooting with confidence and it shows.

- Davis is going to be our Marshall Henderson. He'll shoot even if he doesn't have the space. He's probably best utilized in his current role as a scoring spark off the bench.

- Collins isn't our best player, but he gets after it on defense and plays under control.

- Really like the Bola kid. He has a nose for the ball.

-Key is the definition of a complete basketball player. He does everything well.

- Ingram is going to have to stay healthy. Need him running the offense.

- Hale still needs consistency (in his shot, defense, and effort)

- King was pretty quiet. From what I was hearing about him last year in practice, I'm shocked we didn't see that much of him.

I can relate. I come from a family of Mardi Gras freaks. My uncle's old Christmas tree became the Mardi Gras tree. It would be decorated with beads and serpentine, and usually be burned on Joe Cain Day night.

Oh yeah, there's no doubt Ingram is our best and most important player. He sets the tone for the offense, with his ability to drive it to the basket and either score it himself, or hit the open man. I just left him out of the post because earlier I talked about how much I love him and Key. The reason I said Collins is the leader is because he is a 5th yr senior, and in every huddle he was the one running it and everyone was listening to him. We can't afford to have Dazon or Collins in foul trouble cause jr is well....doodoo! I'm not joking when I say Lawson is a lot better option than jr. I don't care if he is 5'4 and white.lol

I think nerves played a big part. Avery yanked him very quick after a bad shot followed by a bad fast break foul for an and one. Hee pulled as wish as he put him in, so I'm thinking he'll get better once he settles down. Unfair nepotism kills team chemistry, and I think Avery is too smart for that.

Jr should not be on the court. I'd rather have the lil white kid who can stroke it out there.

Yeah I mean the kid was 3-Star recruit. He isn't going to be amazing, but he's better than what he's shown.

Lol. I'd love to see Rudy score. Jr probably needs to get laid before next game. Something to calm him down. He played panicky whenever he was near the ball. I'll wait a couple more games before I'll start worrying about pg depth.

Something interesting I learned today... Terrance Ferguson didn't sign with Arizona. He went to Australia to play pro ball. I'm glad we didn't waste a spot for him. Though he wrote an article explaining his decision, and it made a lot sense for a guy in his situation.

He also sent out a cool congratulatory tweet saying he's going to have to start following Bama basketball now. I guess he's friends with Sexton and Perry.

Yeah his reasoning is that he would have been ineligible.

Lol! Hopefully it was nerves and he will get better. Austin is our only other option once he is healthy. No, he's not a point guard but he he's a 2 guard that can atleast make a lay up and hit 3's.

I wish someone could make gif out of the spin and air ball layup of jr! I didn't know whether to laugh or go here we go again. Against Faulkner, he only hit the rim maybe once out of 3 layup attempts.

Team Positives:
We won.
We looked better from the free throw line.
Interior defense is very good.

Team Negatives:
REBOUNDING. Holy shite. We gave up 17 offensive rebounds.
Chemistry. I know it will get better, but it was evident at times.

Individual positives:
Key is so smooth. He doesn't look like a freshman. He really handles the ball well, especially in traffic. He looks composed and in control. He's really good defensively. Offensively, he was a little reluctant.

Collins looked very comfortable out there. He got to the foul line a few times and that 3 he hit was a beauty. He has a VERY nice shot, but didn't force it.

I'm thinking this may be Davis' worst game. You could tell he was either too amped or nervous. He tried to find his shot by forcing a few.

Ingram hit some big shots. He's a mismatch offensively. If he can make teams defend him on the perimeter, it's going to help him get in the lane, which I think will be key for our offense.

Individual Negatives:
Avery Jr., I don't even think I have to explain.

Shannon Hale just doesn't look like he fits this team. He thinks he can create his own shot, but he just can't. I just don't feel good when he faces up inside the perimeter. For his size, he plays small.

Jim Taylor is terrible offensively. His footwork and ball handling haven't improved at all. His offensive game will depend on others getting in the lane and disrupting the defense.

ROLL TIDE!

It's crazy to me that King was regarded as the best player during practice last year and now when he's finally eligible, he plays 4 minutes. It doesn't add up.

I was really baffled by this. Pospichal told us last year at a tipoff club breakfast that if King was eligible right then, he would be the best player on our team. Said we were already running plays specifically designed for him and he was our best offensive weapon. Now I'm really confused.
