I'm so excited for the new AD hire. Really want him to just start off saying we're tearing that shite down (Coleman) the first day.

We need to go 5-1 over our next 6 games. The stretch after that is a little more difficult with @USC and @U.K.

It also means we'll have to win either @UGA or @Ark.

I dont think we're consistent enough offensively to win all the games we "should" win, but there is still hope.

Winning at UGA is our best shot

I had lost hope until Joe Lunardi tweeted we still had a shot. It's his fault

It's a slim shot, but we have a shot. We'd have to win all the games we need to plus either beat UK at home, win @ Arky and then win @ TN at the end. Our schedule is really, really easy (relative to what it could be).

Currently 10-6 (3-1).

If...... (per realtimerpi.com)

W vs Missouri
W @ Auburn
L @ Georgia
W vs MSU
L @ Arky
W vs Auburn
L @ USCe
W vs UK
W @ Mizzou
W vs LSU
W vs UGA
W @ TAMU
W vs OM
W @ TN

21-9 (14-4) , RPI 43

With a loss to Kentucky........20-10 (13-5) , RPI 53

With a loss to Kentucky and @ Tennessee.......19-11 (12-6), RPI 63

I know the SEC sucks, but 14-4 isn't happening

You do have to look at that schedule and see some really winnable games.

vs Missouri, @ Missouri, vs LSU, vs Auburn, vs State, vs Ole Miss.................

That's 9 SEC wins right there (not automatic, but we should be favorites at home).

Then the next toss up/slight underdogs........@ Georgia, @ Arkansas, vs Georgia, @ Tennessee, @ Auburn, @ Texas A&M. Let's say we win 3/6 there.

Major underdogs @ South Carolina and vs Kentucky.

I think 12-6 is very reasonable with 13-5 not being crazy in the least. If we went 12-6 in the SEC, winning the games we are favorites in above and then also beating Georgia, @ Auburn and @ Texas A&M, our rpi would be........

19-11 (12-6), RPI : 63

If we won @ Tennessee........

20-10 (13-5), RPI : 53

To even be in this position after being 5-5 is amazing. Coach Avery has done an amazing job turning this season around

Sports Illustrated has us on the bubble. They put us in a group with a bunch of other SEC teams and said none of us have a good non-conference win, but winning 12 games in the conference would give you a shot ? LINK

Offensive consistency. If we find it somehow someway like we did at LSU we should make the tournament. Chances of it happening? TBD.

I don't think we'll ever have consistency throughout a full game. One half? Yes, we have and can do that. That could be enough to win enough games. We'll see.

I can't see us making the tournament, even if we do steal a win against South Carolina or Kentucky (100% not happening). In my opinion, unless you're one of the name-brand programs in basketball, you're not getting in unless you have signature out of conference wins. Now if Alabama sealed the deal and would have just beaten Valpo, Texas, and Dayton, we'd be in great position. I just think the SEC is still too weak and the perception of the conference hurts any chance of a program like Alabama trying to claw its way in.

We aren't making the tournament. We might get lucky and make the NIT, but that's it.

That's a good start, but the punishment needs to be a little more severe imo. Knowing that's all I had to do if I missed a FT wouldn't exactly strike fear in me.

But I guess since we miss sooooo many FTs, it may be a good enough punishment bc they'll be running over and over when those FTs add up

We are 13 point favorites right now.

Our wbb team landed FSU transfer Jasmine Walker who was a former 5* from Jeff Davis.
