3-0 WKU after 3. Bama’s offense remains stagnant. KJ Haney pinch hitting today walked (Dallas in to pinch run). Jenna Johnson grounds out, Dallis advanced to 2nd. Savannah grounds out, Dallis advanced to 3rd. Ashley Prange flys out. Montana takes down the Hilltoppers in order.

3-0 WKU after 4. See previous updates for an idea of what’s going on. Nothing much has changed.

That's one way to guarantee we don't host a super.

3-0 WKU after 6. Bama down to its final 3 outs. Unbelievable.

Ballgame. Bama loses 3-1. In classic form, gets the two lead off runners on with no outs and the best hitters coming up. Scores 1 run.
Oh, and in the process gives WKU their first Power 5 win of the year.

I don’t wanna go full on LATider but Murphy is becoming stagnant

Read ‘em and weep
Alabama Softball Upset 3-1 by Western Kentucky (SI)
For the third time in the last four games, the Crimson Tide dropped a game to an unranked opponent.

You think? Players and fans deserve better. Pitching, hitting coach (Murphy), barking seal that coaches first and any others need to go.

These games are on the GIRLS! If you want to be the best you gotta win games like these. See the ball hit the ball...

That's on the players. He can't hit for them.
Posted on 4/27/22 at 8:26 pm to Joka2kold
No but he could help them out by having a hitting program that isn't outdated by decades.

He might could make some changes as far as some techniques but at the end of the day...it's all MENTAL!

After 19 I thought we were setup for a nice 4 year run with Montana but….
2020 we were hugely disappointing and Murphy got saved because the season got cancelled.
2021 we had the best team IMO and Murphy choked 2 games to FSU.
2022 has been disappointing so far

Chadaristic posted this in the baseball thread earlier and it’s relevant here too. Maybe some relief on the horizon (ie a dedicated hitting coach). Softball is an ‘equivalency sport’ too.
College Power-Brokers Poised to Turn NCAA Upside Down
College Power-Brokers Poised to Turn NCAA Upside Down
quote:
The expansion of scholarships would be a historic move, but it would not impact sports such as football and basketball, known as “head count” sports. They offer full scholarships to a roster of players: 85 in football and 15 in basketball. The concept pertains to sports offering partial scholarships, known as “equivalency” sports, such as baseball, hockey, track and field, and swimming. For example, the NCAA maximum scholarships allowed in baseball is 11.7 for a roster of 35—a figure often criticized by high-level baseball-playing schools from rich conferences that want to spend more. Under the transformation’s plan, a school could conceivably offer 35 full scholarships in the sport.
Lifting the “countable coach” rules would also be unprecedented, as NCAA rules currently restrict the number of coaches by sport.

Why do you defend Murph. He needs to go! 2012 is too long with the talent he’s got. We are the UGA of softball. Nobody does less than Murph with this amount of talent.
