I know why they get whacked. People are deathly afraid of being called a racist. Even on an anonymous message board.

If Simpson was starting, Milroe on the bench and Simpson stunk it up as bad as Milroe has, yes there would be people pulling the race card. It wouldn’t be right, coaches don’t care what race you are when doing a depth chart.

So would you say it's a coincidence that the coaches in the playoffs as a whole don't have any black qbs on their rosters?
PennSt doesn't.
ND doesn't.
Tejas doesn't.
Uga has 1 of 6 qbs.
That's one-third of the playoff teams and they have 1 black qb between them.
Are you suggesting that's a coincidence??
I'm not trying to start a race war. IDGAF what color the qb is. I just think the lack of diversity at the position among certain teams is interesting.
Edit: ASU, Oregon, and Boise have no black qbs either.

I think it’s just a coincidence. It is an outlier though with most football players being black. Maybe QB is a position white players gravitate to since you don’t need to be as athletic as say the WR. Interesting that almost all of the playoff teams don’t have a black QB on the roster though.

I agree. That's all I've been trying to say is that it's an interesting anamoly. I'm not sure it's a coincidence, but I appreciate your ability to discuss it without blowing a gasket.

I just don’t know that he can do it regularly.

I’ve never understood why people can’t talk about race and if they do they are racist. To me it’s not different than male/female or young/old discussion. People are different, tall, short, ugly, fat, pretty, blonde, it’s what makes us all beautiful and unique in our own way.

Milroe = DEI.
Finally says what many are thinking. Also explains the whole "locker room drama" thing. Agreed whole heartedly.

Since 2010 12 QBs have won the Heisman. Only 3 were white. The #1 and #2 picks in the NFL draft the past 2 years were all black QBs. Stroud won offensive rookie of the year and Daniels is going to win it this year. A black QB has won 3 of the last 5 superbowls and is probably going to 3peat this year.
There is only 1 white QB in the top 10 of the 2025 recruiting class and the top 5, including Keelon Russell, are all black. 2 of the best QBs to come through Alabama in history are not white in Tua and Bryce. Yes it is a coincidence that the teams you pointed out don't have black QBs at the moment and has nothing to do with what you're obviously implying but unwilling to just come out and say.

So you think Miroe is better than any QBs on our current squad?

Where in any of my post did I mention Milroe?

The whole thread is about Milroe. Then the argument was the politics of his being 1st string. Then you countered by mention how wonderful the black quarterbacks are, right? So how does Milroe fit at all into this argument of yours?

Mahomes is a mulatto. He is as much white as he is black, so that's a push. Young is biracial as well.

Then why don't you tell everybody what I'm thinking and scared to say since your fricking clairvoyant.
All I have said is that it's interesting that coaches that are currently in the playoffs aren't recruiting black qbs.
But you obviously know better what I'm thinking than I do.
You don't know me but here's a tip chief, I'm not afraid of saying shite. IDGAF if you think I'm a racist.

It seems you are very invested in the color of the QB and you're basically saying Keelon and Mack shouldn't even come to Alabama and should both jump into the transfer portal.
The amount of crazy on here is astonishing at times.

The post I responded to didn't have anything to do with Milroe. It asked if it was a coincidence the majority of the playoff teams didn't have a black QB on the roster. It was clearly a very thinly disguised insinuation that the playoff teams are better because they have white and not black QBs but the poster didn't have the balls to just come right out and say it.
My response was evidence that there are plenty of super successful black/non-white QBs and race has nothing to do with how successful a QB is. I could make a list of examples showing white QBs with just as much success. Race also has nothing to do with who is QB1 and who the backups are.
I wasn't talking about Milroe but if you want to know how he fits into my argument I'd say he's proof that you can suck at QB no matter what your skin color is.

Only a fricking racist would glean this from what I've said.
I've said NOTHING but facts. And the facts are that a large majority of the teams that are currently in the playoffs don't have a black qb on the roster. That's all I said.
Again, IDGAF what color BAMA's qb is. As long as he's a winner. I'm excited to see Russell. I like watching Jayden Daniels and Patrick Mahomes play. Both are more talented than I thought they'd be when they were drafted. I've said as much. I've stated outright multiple times I think Mack should start next season.
So you can get fricked with your bullshite assessment of my comments.

That's your projection shite head. If I thought that, believe me I'd say it.

One need look no further than this thread to see that isnt the case though. People are terrified of being called a racist. It's cowardly and pathetic. It's either that or they suffer from intellectual dwarfism.

He was NOT saying that. He was saying that the drama of race might be an issue at times when there is a debate between a good QB and a bad one when the race is different. I don't agree that that would be a reason to not have a black QB on the roster, but it could be. I do feel that this was an issue at Alabama during the South Florida game a year ago. It just looked that way in how the team responded to Ty, the scoffs at ESPN, and social media posts during that timeframe. But anyway, I hope we learn something from this whole experiment because it sucked.
