We went from having 1st rounders at WR every season, and 1st/2nd rounders at RB, to complete mediocrity in a flash.
Did you think WR recruits came to our games and left salivating at the idea of playing with Milroe ? lol
Do you think RB recruits sat in the stands and couldn't wait to pledge to a team that would give their feature back 5 carries a game ?
Do you think RB recruits were fighting over one another to commit to a team that used the QB to run the ball inside the 5 yard line ?
Did you listen to any of the Milroe alarmist over the last years telling you that our mickey mouse offense was gonna cost us more than just football games ?

We thought Kalen DeBoer was walking into a cabinet of riches in terms of talent, but his Washington teams of the past 2 years were head &shoulders above this team in offensive talent.
You can't possibly believe that. You put Penix on Bama roster, and Nick goes out with at least one if not two titles the last couple years. Wow. You really dont understand how important the QB is in modern football. Without an elite QB the rest of your talent is pointless.

We had a 17 year-old who developed a bad case of butter fingers after a promising start
Hey, let me ask you brother... Do you think it might be possible that Ryan developed "butter fingers" after getting nearly broken in half on every pass Milroe threw too high, or behind him, or late ? Do you think a 170# kid that should be playing his last season of HS ball maybe just maybe started to flinch feeling those 210 pound safeties bringing the wood to his arse over and over ?
I'm just happy Ryan made it through the season without getting killed. I cringed every time Milroe threw a high ball in Ryans direction. Kid was such a competitor he would try to go get it even though he was taking HUGE shots from safeties basically getting to tee off on his arse.
Ryan will go back to being Hollywood as soon as he trust his QB to throw the ball on time to a spot that will not get him broken in half.
The only mistake Saban made was recruiting a project QB that was meant to give us good looks in game prep for opposing mobile QB's, and somehow allowing the guy to end up our starting QB, and then being loyal to a fault to him when it was clear he was destroying the offense.
