One of the great traditions at The University of Alabama, which is always open to the public, is the annual Walk of Fame Ceremony at Denny Chimes. At approximately 11:15 a.m. on A-Day, head coach Nick Saban along with 2018 captains Damien Harris, Hale Hentges, Christian Miller and Ross Pierschbacher will address the crowd. The captains will then leave prints of their hands and cleats in the concrete as they join a long list of Crimson Tide greats at Denny Chimes.

The Crimson Tide will then hold its Walk of Champions, scheduled for 11:50 a.m., when the team arrives at Bryant-Denny Stadium. At the conclusion of the game, Coach Saban will present the spring awards to the team at midfield. Once the team has cleared the field, all fans will have postgame field access. Fans may enter through any of the four corner gates.

Alabama leads the nation in spring game attendance over the last 12 years with a total of 958,802 fans for an average of 79,900 fans per game during that period. The largest A-Day crowd in school history came in 2011 (92,310). In head coach Nick Saban's first year of 2007, the stadium was at full capacity prior to expansion (92,138).

Public parking for A-Day is free and first-come, first-served with Crimson Ride shuttles beginning their game day routes at 7 a.m. Tuscaloosa Transit will begin running from the downtown Intermodal Facility three and a half hours prior to kickoff and will conclude one hour after the end of the game. For more parking, traffic and A-Day information go to UAGameday.com.

Once again, Alabama's clear bag policy and the use of metal detectors will be in effect during the 2019 season beginning with the A-Day Game.

In addition to A-Day, the Crimson Tide softball team hosts Georgia at 11 a.m. in game one of their three-game series at Rhoads Stadium. The Crimson Tide will also host the Bulldogs on Sunday at 6 p.m. and Monday at 6 p.m. Tickets for Alabama softball games can be purchased at RollTide.com.

nuggets found here and there on the interwebs... Friday practice and happenings:

TE is slim, with K. James dealing with a 4 game suspension, the depth keeps getting jarred. Saban recently mentioned that “a couple of tight ends missing.” not sure the status of them at this point; but, today the line up seemed to be M.Forristall, WO G. Amos, Catu, and M Parker - Tennison is missing? (seems Parker's brother is a WO TE wonder if he is still in the mix, and wonder how Parker is feeling about his weight loss just now)

Little to no change in the OLine
1's
Leatherwood, Ekiyor, Owens, Womack, Wills
2's
Lashley, Neal, Brannon, D Brown, T Brown
3's
Randolph, Bowles, Dalcourt, Quick, Kight
bold indicates true freshman

quote:

Alabama held its 11th spring practice Friday afternoon, working outside in shorts and shells. UA was also hosting its 2019 Clinic of Champions, so there many, many football coaches from all over in attendance and scattered along the sidelines. With that being said, it was hard to get a good view of the Crimson Tide at times during the single media-viewing period.

Here’s what was seen anyway:

Henry Ruggs III was once again back at practice, so we’ll stop mentioning his presence unless something else out of the ordinary happens. He was out on Saturday and Monday while attending a family funeral in Montgomery.
Dylan Moses and Joshua McMillon led the inside linebackers through drills, followed by Shane Lee and Markail Benton. Remember Nick Saban called out this specific position group after Alabama’s first spring scrimmage, looking for improvement.
Speaking of the head coach, Saban was watching over the defensive backs. Xavier McKinney and Shyheim Carter (still in a non-contact black jersey) were the first pair to go through drills. Patrick Surtain II and Jared Mayden were second, and then Nigel Knott and Trevon Diggs went third. Jalyn Armour–Davis was participating but wore a right knee brace; not sure if he has had that on all spring or not.
The offensive line worked in pairs, but one was called upon first to block. Alex Leatherwood and Chris Owens were the first up. Then Scott Lashley and Matt Womack (so, yes, he was participating this practice) went, followed by Pierce Quick and Deonte Brown.
Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones continue to lead the quarterbacks. That group threw reps to both the wide receivers and tight ends. DeVonta Smith and Ruggs were the first to go, though.

Here you can see Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones lead the Alabama quarterbacks, as they throw to wide receivers and tight ends at today’s practice.0:26 by Terrin Waack @terrinvictoria

I really failed to look at that...must be a typo that I made worse by passing it on... we all know he is bigger than he needs to be.
247 listed him on their recruiting site at 334

This must have come from RIVALS... their recruit site shows
Ishmael Sopsher
Defensive tackle
6'4'' 305 lbs
CLASS OF 2019

Will be very interested in seeing the Official measurements when the new recruits check-in in June.
