We're replacing our gas water heater with a tankless one and the plumber informed us that Spire will cut us a rebate check for $350 for it.
We replaced our gas range last month and had no clue that also qualifies for a $100 rebate from Spire.
Just sharing the information in case anyone is interested.

Pretty sure AL Power has been doing just the opposite if you switch to electric.

I’d like a natural gas generator install for free-ninety-nine, Spire

We moved back in June. Our first power bill was $533.
We paid $23,000 for new windows at the beginning of September.
Our latest bill dropped to $362.
We didn't change any of our routines with the A/C.
I guess good, expensive windows do pay for themselves over time.

I'd like some new windows, but $23K is a bit more than I want to pay.

The ones we replaced were original to the house and definitely needed to go.
We went with a more expensive company due to the lifetime warranty.
But they're nowhere near as expensive as Pella. They wanted $50,000 to replace 10 windows and put in a sliding glass door.

Windows and blinds I feel they just make up the numbers. So expensive.

Say what now?? I’m due windows but if that’s what they cost now I’m doing one at a time for 10 years

Building a house right now, paid $42,000 for around 20 Pella windows, varying size. Material only. Of course new construction windows are crazy easy to install.

We had a set of French doors going to the backyard that had bad seals so we replaced them with a sliding glass door. That's included in the price of the windows. It wouldn't have been that bad if we just did the windows.
I will say the windows look awesome. We have an enormous picture window in our kitchen. Our neighbors have all stopped by since it was installed to tell us how great it looks.
We paid an additional $1,300 to put mirror tint on the windows and door. You can't see in my house during the day even if you walk right up to them and cup your eyes. We don't have blinds or anything covering them. It's awesome. It significantly reduced the amount of UV rays coming through as well.
Can't wait to see how much it helps the electricity bill, too.

We considered building, but my wife loves this house.
We owned it from 2017 to 2020 then I got transferred to San Antonio. The couple who bought it from us lived in it for 11 months before being transferred to Germany. They intended to retire here so they rented it out. They're from Wisconsin and something happened to change their retirement plans so they ended back up there.
My retirement was also on the horizon so we started looking at land/houses around Prattville. My wife came across the owners on Facebook and put out a feeler about buying it back from them and they agreed.
3,000 square feet
Single story
NOT an open concept, hate them
In-ground pool
Wet bar with ice maker
Walk-in 6'x6' shower with separate shower heads in MBR
Three closets in MBR
Tons of built-in storage throughout
Huge kitchen
Gas appliances
We're doing some renovations in the kitchen, laundry room and mud room, but we're never planning on leaving.
