That's why Glenn Schuman is the right hire, imo.
Is Schuman going to leave a good gig at Georgia to come to Alabama knowing that if he has 2-3 bad injuries and his defense under-performs he is getting fired in 12 months?
Not exactly the best sales pitch in the world.

It was happening.
It was claimed to be happening last year and it didn't, while no HC position was involved.

hey man, don’t piss on my hopes of getting rid of Golding.

Benton & Kaho weren't injured. Golding had been coaching them for a full year before Moses and McMillon were injured, but he didn't have them well prepared to step in and play. If Golding gets replaced, it isn't because of those two injuries.
DC/ILB at UA is a big promotion from ILB coach at UGA with /CoDC mostly in title since Lanning is the DC. If Glenn Schumann isn't confident he can do a better job than Golding, then why should Saban hire him in the first place? I think Schumann would jump on the opportunity to be the DC/ILB Coach at Bama, his alma mater.
He was on Saban's staff at UA when Kirby hired him for an on-field coaching position. He should be able to hit the ground running at UA. As young as he is, I think he'd likely stay at least several years before he'd get HC opportunities and feel he's ready to be a HC.

For the almighty dollar he would.

So either we can't pay it or Saban doesn't see it as an upgrade then, right? Since the first option doesn't ever apply at Alabama then it has to be #2, correct?

You are so full of shite man. You have said yourself on this very site that he is an extremely hard worker and that this off season he was first one in last one out in the office.

If Golding is going to stay I say we send Karl Scott on his way and bring back James Willis to coach ILB's. Let Golding slide back to help with the DB's as a second GA along side Saban.

Yep. He was talking about how great he was and how he was already calling plays last year(Which I seem to be the only person who doesn't believe that).
I still like his posts for the record, but I sure as hell do not believe them all and never take them at face value.

May be random but he did a great job with Ro / Dont'a / Nico when Kevin Steel left.

Well it makes no difference since Saban is having hard time finding someone better. Only thing he can do is have a heart to heart talk with Golding and get him to understand that he is not a small time coach and he has to make efforts. Demand excellence from his players.

If Golding is to be let go, I’d like Schumann as the replacement. Knowing Saban, he would hire someone we would not expect. My gut says that Golding is retained and I will be fine either way.

Things change over an entire season. He did and the team didn’t seem to respond well. You guys think everything stays the same throughout the year and it doesn’t. He was a tireless worker during the off-season but throughout the year either burned himself out or just fell off some it happens.

Absolutely correct see the post above. In your world nothing changes and he must have maintained that day in and day out.

Burned out or "lazy and goofy"?
I find it hard to believe that Saban would keep such a person on his staff and that there is nobody better than someone who is "lazy and goofy".
If he gets fired, then it would definitely add some weight to what you are saying. But you are telling me that Saban, who fired Lane Kiffin 1 week before the national championship because he wasn't putting in enough effort, is allowing someone who is lazy and not putting in the work to remain at the DC position?
I have no inside information, but these things you've been saying for the past month make no logical sense. Neither did your claims that Golding was calling the plays for the 2nd half of last season and got a promotion after it.
Saban's actions speak way louder to me than any insider sources. That's how "my world" works.

It’s in an article floating around somewhere. Go find it. Don’t take my work for it.
