So the homecoming parade is at 1? When will the shut down the roads for that? Trying to figure out white time to arrive in Ttown.

The only road they shut down is University. The area around University and Greensboro Ave will be congested from around 11 until the parade moves out, since that is where they line up. If you're coming in on 359/Lurleen Walllace into downtown, just turn right on Paul Bryant Dr or a street or two after, and just zig zag around until you find somewhere to park. The parking deck is at 6th and 23rd Ave.

I wouldn't plan around it too much, just be cognizant if you get too far down a street that crosses University, you'll be stopped and sitting until the parade passes. Here's a map to help.

If we park in lot C, should we plan on hitting up Archibalds or Dreamland before parking there? Guessing we can't walk to either of those from lot C.

No, neither are walking distance from anywhere near campus. Only food options walking distance from Lot C would be Arby's and Newk's across University. You can take the bus from that lot though and it drops off on the Quad and walk to the Ferguson Center or the strip for food options. There are also food vendors/food trucks on the quad. Archibald's actually has a food truck, but not sure if they set up on the quad for games. They're set up on the street that runs the east side of the quad - to your right if looking at the library from University.

If you wanted to do one of those before parking, both are just across the river from downtown. Just stay on Lurleen Wallace though downtown. But the Dreamland location there isn't the famous original one. It's on the other side of town.

Alright, so if you had to pick one for lunch...Dreamland or Archibalds? And if Dreamland, which location is best for a family of 5?

Map Link

This is just me, so take it w/ a grain of salt. When I have kids with me, I want certainty regarding parking.

I don't know from which way you're coming. I come from the BHM side & get off on Hwy 11 & come in University & park in the Moody Lot. Lot C is convenient driving wise coming that route.

UA Gameday Parking Link

If you're coming in from the west side of Tuscaloosa, the only way I could reliably tell you to go is to take McFarland & then take the loop on the right to University. All of this is for Lot C of course.

Click on the link & go to "Single Game Parking." Also check out the map link above, it's an easy walk to the stadium, just a little distance. If you buy the parking pass it's $25 & you print it out & they scan it when you enter.

Dreamland on the river is best for a family of 5, but it would be my last choice of the 3.

Archibald's would be first, but it gets really crowded on game days and it is tiny. Most of the seating is just communal picnic tables outside.

Original Dreamland is fine, it's just not very convenient to campus. But if you got there by 12, you should have plenty of time. It used to get really crowded on game days as well. Like 2-3 hour wait for a table. Not sure if it still does. Haven't actually been there in 15-20 years.
