I've had a clear picture of the passing game since early last season.

ya they held their own in the first half but were not good in the second half

Well, you can't lay blame on any one individual, but we were cruising up 24-3. Foster drops a pass that's probably a first down, fumbles, and all the sudden momentum swings. I find it fairly likely that if Foster catches the ball we probably win something like 34-3.

The qb misses more passes than those that are dropped. Why is the one more critical than the others?

That's a lie. Facts don't matter to you though.

You got what you was need last night. Any plausible reason to make it all Jalen Hurts fault.

Cause I watched the game and obviously that play was bigger than a lot of others? That was an enormous sequence of plays in terms of flow and letting A&M back in it. Don't be dense.

By the way, every QB in the nation at every level of football misses more throws than has passes dropped. And if we're being totally honest here, your credibility as a QB evaluator went out the window with your predictions of Blake Barnett's NFL future.

ya, drops were bad, Oline wasn't playing as well the last few weeks, hurt seemed off, just not a good second half effort for bama this week. Still got the win and on to next week.

No. The receivers didn't drop 9 catchable balls last night. That is the fact.

edit: As for what I needed, I don't need a game at all, but I wish Hurts was consistently efficient, but as another poster said: It is what it is.

It is ok to blast Foster for drops but Hurts is off limits. Some of you guys kill me.

Who said Hurts was off limits? And if he is, some people didn't get the message. And you'd seem like the last guy who can call anyone out for getting on one player and not another considering Hurts is the only guy you ever bitch about.

Hurts didn't throw nine bad passes or blow nine passing plays.

Your hate blinds you

All you do is bitch, whine and complain about Hurts, yet you have the audacity to complain about other people singling out a player?

You're so blinded you can't even see your own hypocrisy.

For one nobody said Hurts was great; he struggled. However considering how poorly his OL blocked and how poorly his WR played it's understandable.

You and the rest of the haters literally ignore every other fact or at least miniaturize their effect and just love to make everything Hurts fault.

It's an obsession. A very bad one.

Hurts missed on more passes than were dropped and that's a fact.

Reading comprehension is fundamental.

Hurts was off yesterday, looking to run way too quickly or just couldn't find any WRs or the WRs just could't get open, he took a lot of sacks and was looking to run really fast a lot of times.

I think some people get defensive about him because some go over the top with hyperbole about him being shite. He is what he is, a very athletic college qb with exceptional running ability.

I personally feel like he has made some really good strides in his passing game this year relative to last year; however, this wasn't his best game. He is leading the rbs / receivers on the short passes much better so they can catch in stride (was horrible at that last year), is stronger on the deep ball and the sideline throws. I think he still needs to work on his mid-range / scrambling / roll out throws a lot as well as get more consistent.

If your feel this way why don't you actually apply this reasoning?

I will repeat he did not.

You are just obsessed and filled with hate for a 19 year old who has been pretty outstanding both on and off the field for Alabama.

It's always the fault of anybody else.

Did you notice that the A&M true freshman, also under pressure, avoided the rush but still managed to make some big plays downfield?

I agree 100% with this.

Which is fair yet critical of Hurts performance. I will not agree with nonsense that the known haters imagine then throw out on this forum like fact.

Ok. Cite those catchable passes that were dropped. Not those that were overthrown, or out of bounds, or one hopped, but were actually dropped. Go ahead.

Yes he did and good for him. A few of them were wide arse open as well. The only truly nice throw he had was to 3 in the end zone. On that note I wish our guys tackled him more often that was frustrating as hell. Jalen didn’t get the chance to roll out much because they played contain so well. It did burn AM a few times when Jalen got lose but for the most part contained him.
