PSA!!!

For those new to the thread or who have not ventured near the beginning in fear of reading "just old news". Surge maintains an exhaustive listing of prospects/offers and committed players along with tons of additional useful info. Please take a moment to check it out and see if you don't agree.
Great and exhausting work.

aTm most likely upped the pressure after the Bama offer... knowing Bama is needing TE's and didnt want to be on the short side of the deal...

Hope rolls back to Washington or another

Elite Texas LB names top two Andrew Bone • BamaInsider.com @AndrewJBone
quote:

Kendrick Blackshire, 2021 linebacker from Duncanville High School in Texas, traveled to Tuscaloosa for the second time. He spent Friday and Saturday on the Crimson Tide's campus, but did not participate in the camp on Saturday. However, he plans to return in a few weeks.

"I had a good time," Blackshire said. "It was great to hang out with Coach Golding and then some of the players like Eyabi (Anoma) and Cam (Latu). I went over there with Maureese Wren
. He and I were teammates at Mesquite-Horn. He went over there for the camp.

"I am going back in two weeks with my mom. We are going to sit down with Coach Saban and talk about everything. I talked to Coach Saban for a while. He was telling me he thinks I am the perfect linebacker for Alabama. He thinks I can be a central part of the 2021 class. I love Coach Saban. He is a great coach and great leader."

Blackshire said he also really likes Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding and area recruiting coach Jeff Banks. A highlight of the visit was spending time with the players.

"I went to a pool party," he said. "We hung out and played video games. I was with Cam and Eyabi most of the time. I love them. They are my guys. I can't wait to hang out again when I come back in a few weeks. They showed me a great time. They have great energy. They have great character."

Alabama is on his short list with the Crimson Tide and LSU as his top two. He plans to visit Baton Rouge sometime this summer, but knows he will return to Tuscaloosa in a few weeks.

"I love everything about Bama," Blackshire said. "Of course, they win. I love the people at Alabama- the players, the coaches, the whole feel of Alabama."

The 6-foo-2, 247-pounder is recruited by Alabama to play inside linebacker. Blackshire has several scholarship offers including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

Auburn a ‘consideration’ for Alabama commit Roydell Williams

quote:

Roydell Williams wanted to make himself clear: He’s still “110 percent committed” to Alabama -- but Auburn is giving the four-star running back something to consider during his recruitment.

Williams, the Hueytown prospect rated as the No. 13 running back in the 2020 class, was on the Plains on Saturday for Auburn’s Big Cat Weekend. It was somewhat of a surprising appearance for Williams, who had not been in contact with Auburn’s coaching staff as much since his commitment to the Tide on Nov. 24 -- the same day as last season’s Iron Bowl, which Alabama won 52-21.

Auburn left a good impression on Williams, though the 5-foot-10, 202-pounder made it clear that it’s going to take a lot for another program to flip him from Alabama.

“I mean, even though I’m still 110 percent committed to Alabama, Auburn is another consideration," Williams said. "It’s a good school, good program like Alabama. It’s a chance, but it’s going to be a hard flip.”

Williams said Auburn is firmly his No. 2 school right now, though he didn’t say how far the Tigers are behind the Tide. Auburn has made some strides since the spring, when Gus Malzahn brought on Cadillac Williams as the team’s new running backs coach.

The former first-round pick has started to develop a good relationship with Williams, who said he has started to communicate more with Auburn’s staff than he did in the wake of his commitment to Alabama. The two have spoken by phone a decent amount and have messaged back and forth. During Big Cat Weekend, they got more of an opportunity to bond in person, with the four-star running back calling Williams “laid back” and appreciating the way the Tigers’ new assistant carries himself.

“I really like Coach (Williams)," Williams said. "We got a real comfortable relationship now. Everything’s going real smooth with me and Coach.”

Williams, who is rated as the No. 7 player in Alabama and the No. 141 player in the 2020 class, said he plans to make a return trip to Auburn, though he isn’t sure just when yet. For as much room as Auburn has made up with Williams’ recruitment, Alabama is still pursuing him the hardest.
