Overrated: Coker

Imma have to disagree. Coker was fricking Fantastic in the CFP. That throw to Ardarius Stewart on 3rd down in the NCG is one of the most underrated plays in Alabama history IMO.and sadly it never gets talked about.

If Kiffin wasn’t a terrorist and starts him vs Ole Miss we go 15-0

Jake was a helluva athlete and a tough son ova gun and seemed to be a very humble young man.

I can’t recall if he ever did a slide, but he would damn sure try and run you over. I remember he punished a Aggie db in a game, knocked the crack outta his arse.

Football was fun for him but I don’t think it was ever the most important thing in his life and there’s nothing wrong with that. He’s probably done well for himself with life after football. But yeah, he was a damn good QB and has the hardware to prove it.

Just here to remind everyone that Lane Kiffin started both Blake Barnett and Cooper Bateman.

Also started whatever frat boy queer over Chambliss at Ole Miss. In 2025.

Muh Quarterback guru!!

Jake Coker was robbed. He rubbed Kiffy the wrong way.

Should have added stats just to show how much the game has changed

I remember being excited when Guillon transferred from Miami lol.

Avolos and Pennington were forced to play. Bad QB play, but a product of the times.

The Zow/Watts "controversy" got old...I liked both.

Buchner starting once during the Saban era of roster talent was probably the most surprising.

Most talented- Tua

Best Season- Mac

AJ and Bryce right up there.

I think Gmac is underrated because he pulled a Jay Barker in the national championship game stat wise (played injured), but he was also the SECCG MVP the game before.

Best at Bama. Bryce imo. I’m assuming Tua had better stats, but he had better supporting cast and a much better offensive coordinator. I will forever be pissed at Bill O’Brien for the poor play designs for Jahmyr Gibbs amongst many other issues under his watch.

Favorite: 1A - Blake Sims. I thought we were screwed when I heard that our former 3rd string running back was going to be the starting quarterback. Blake had limitations compared to some of the other QB’s on this list, but his performance and grit was fun to watch. Especially the great game he had against the boogs.

1B - Mac. I thought he showed flashes in games he played prior to 2020 and message board rumors were that he showed well in practices, but the 2020 season was insane. Helps with the receiving staff and playcalling that year, but still he goes in the I didn’t expect that great level of performance bucket for me.

Hopefully never again tier: Marc Guilon - my self delusion at the time. He transferred from Miami and Miami is known for good QBS. He must be good.

Brandon Avolos - started against Southern Miss and we attempted 7 total passes for the game. Avolos was 3-7 for 12 yards.
